Ive bought a secondhand MacDev conquest reg and bottle, and theres one of those very very small internal screws to secure the reg to the dovetail drop (like the velocity screw I think, only smaller) Anyway, the pervious owner has tried using the wrong allen key or a shoddy one and has basically destroyed the hex almost making it a circle.

Until I can get this off I cannot get at the mounting screws in between the rail and the reg. I have had a look around the forum and some people have said JB weld, but with the chance of it just permanantly affixing the screw to the hole and threading its in I am unsure I want to do anything more permantly damaging.
I have tried undoing it normally but don't want to risk further damage to the screw.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The screw itself is toast. Put the dab of JB weld on the end of the Allen wrench that should fit the hole. Support the wrench overnight while things set up. Even if a tiny fleck of the epoxy gets on the threads of the hole, the screw with the wrench properly glued into it will easily over power any minor contamination on the threads.

If things do get messy use a Q-tip to clean up the excess and try again. It ain't rocket science.

Alright then, I'll go get some JB weld from wherever they sell it here in NZ (I hope they sell it here in NZ) and have a crack at it tomorrow, cheers.
