Please watch spelling and grammar in the future. That was hard to read.

Paintball guns will always be inaccurate when compared to real guns but it was probably the fact that you were using a (stock?) Tippmann.

I will base my advice off the currency conversion of £300 to $600 US.

Firstly, to start, you don't even need to spend close to this. If you are looking at a beginner marker, you can spend a third to half of that and still get a good setup. If you are set on spending all that money, you can get a really good setup. So it is up to you as to what you are looking for (beginner but cheaper or advanced but more expensine)

Are you willing to buy used? If so, you can get an amazing setup for that.

Do you have a mask or air/co2?

Do you play woordball or speedball.

Also, acuracy is a tradeoff for range. High accuracy means less range and vice versa

The most accurate markers will be high-end ones. I would look into a used Ego, Matrix, Shocker or something of the like if you want accuracy. Tippmann's will not give accuracy that is comparable with a high-end gun without some modification and upgrade.

Yes, if you don't mind buying used, than look into a high end marker. It will run you pretty close to the $600 for a decent setup but you it will last you much longer before or even if you grow out of it. the thing is that if you want a good setup, you either buy and expensive high end marker or a low end and tons of upgrades. In the end, high end markers make the better choice.

Besides the marker, you will need an HPA tank, a hopper and a mask.

-A good mask will run you $80-100 new, and $50-70 used. This is the most improtant thing you can buy so don't cheap out. I reccommend buying either a new mask or a barely used one (you can never be sure as to the safety of a used one)

-A high end hopper is also required for a high end marker. This will run you about $100 new or $60 used. Don't cheap out on this one either.

-You need an air tank. You can't use co2 because it will not work well with your marker so you must buy an HPA tank. This is where you can cheap out if you really want because for the casual player, they will all work the same outside of capacity. I reccmmend going with a carbon fibre tank but metal ones work just as well. If you buy used, make sure you check the hydro date.

A aluminum tank will run you $80-100 new and $30-60 used. A carbon tank will run you around $150-200 new and $80-150 used.

Assuming you buy used and get mid ends, you are looking at $300-400 to spend on a marker.

Check pbnation.com for a marker there. You can get a nice upped PMR for that.

The a5 is a good marker. You can do so much better for the money you are looking at spending though.

The modifications and upgrades depend on the marker you are getting.

I reccommend you follow the guide that I just posted and look on the nation for a used marker. An upped PMR would be a good choice.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I was busy here at work.

I agree with what Carl says. Although the A-5 is a good marker I would go with a better marker that requires less upgrades to function well. Check ebay, PBNation, and your local fields for deals.
