Strikes are a precursor to guesting.

You get them for minor infractions of rules, and three offenses is a guest. Or, you can pull a bt-4 and do something bad enough to get guested from one offense.

Look at it like a western flick.

Strikes = bullets whizzing by your head. You watch what you're doing after that.

Guesting = Took a bullet to the leg. You can't use that leg anymore, but it can heal. You definately don't want to do what you've been doing to deserve that...

IP Ban = took a few rounds to the shoulder. Won't ever be able to use that arm again. Now you've just been stupid.

ISP Notification = BOOM! HEADSHOT! No more life for you...
