HPA tanks

    Well,I finally got into the sport of paintball,bought a Tippmann 98 custom,and have played afew games and got used to playing.Anyways,I've only seen c02 tanks,but now I've ran across something called "HPA tanks".I new that compressed air could be stored in a tank,but I wasen't sure how,until I saw this.They were pretty expensive too,and I got afew questions bout' em'. 

Are they really worth the money that they are wanting? 

Can they be re-filled by a garage air-compresser(Thus,saving money),or do they have to be filled in a special way? 

Do they work with any paintball gun? 

I've been thinking about buying one,since c02 isen't the cheapest thing on my budget..

	They are very much worth the money, I have one and I love it. Have you noticed how the C02 gets very cold, well with hpa it won't do that at all. No they cannot be refilled by a garage air compresser. It has to be a high out put compresser. They work on any paintball gun. They will work fine on a tippmann. The only downside is that they are more expensive to fill than C02.

	Usually it's actually cheaper to fill than CO2. Most places charge $1 per 1000psi.

	HPA Stands for High Pressure Air. It is basiclly breathing air compressed to 3000, or 4500psi. If you inteand to play seriously, at a field that offer fills, they are woth the money. If you are playing backyard or outlaw ball it is not worth getting a HPA tank because most people cannot afford to have 3 $150-$200 HPA tanks sitting around in case they run out of air, they can however afford 3 20oz CO2 tanks that cost $20 a piece. HPA tanks need to be filled by a High Pressure Compressor, or a Cascade System like your local Fire Department has. These systems run around $1000 at a minumum. As long as you buy a High output (800psi+) HPA tank, they will work with any paintball marker.

	IMO i think HPA tanks are worth the money if you play often at a field that fills HPA. If you just play in woulds at no field buy 1 or 2 c02 tanks becuase they are cheaper. Like he said ^^ to fill it you would need a high pressure compressor , a garage compressor wouldnt fill it. Some places HPA is filled cheaper then c02 or like my field HPA is free. Just make sure you get a High Pressure output tank (800-850) psi.

	the avarage air (Grage) compresser is putting out at the most 250 psi which the compressed air at 3000psi which is a really high psi. i only wish you could fill them up in your grage that be sweet

	Ok,so the best thing to do(I play woodsball) is just stick with c02 price-wise,right?

	If you play at a place that offers on-site fills, I would recomend HPA. If not I would go with CO2.
