Hah, no it wasn't an Impulse. I did, however, have a wave of nostalgia, and felt compelled to buy my first paintball gun, a Tippmann SL-68II pump. It's the gun that got me into the sport 10 years ago. I bought it in Missouri while visiting my relatives for $20, including a squeegee, shake-and-bake hopper and an air tank. After playing a few weeks, I sold it to my cousin for $15, including everything. A year later, I wanted to get back into the sport, and missed the chance to get the Tippy back, as my cousin sold it away. Years later, I fork out $62 and get this:
Woot? PS: Not my pics. I'll get some more when it comes in. Edited by DeTrevni - 26 July 2007 at 4:14pm |

In retrospect, I don't regret it. After looking around on MCB, they sell for like $80-$100, so I think I made out good with this deal. Plus, it's clean. I mean, look at it! First thing I'm gonna do is tear it apart and see what I can dremel. |

Can you pull the whole trigger assembly out for painting? Not sure exactly how these things come apart 'cause of the single piece body.

Here's my philosophy on customizing paintball guns: If they put it in, you sure as heck can take it out.

Oh yeah. Hard to describe though. You'll just have to wait and see! It's gonna compete with Tig's work!

'Cept me! You'll see. I am intrigued by said "build off." PCF: Yeah, after browsing the M. Carter Brown forums, the average going price was anywhere from $50 to $100, depending on condition. Seller says this one is in great shooting order, and it looks clean. Feedback is good, so I think I can trust him. We'll see though. I think it was a decent buy. Meh. This has sentimental value for me. Plus, what makes an original one better than a II?
