Hi, I have a question about the internals of my gun. I took my tippmann 98 custom apart the other day so I could give it a new paint job, and I noticed that there is all this black grime on the inside. Does anyone know how I could get this off? I already tried paint thinner, which doesnt really work.

I can't see the pic (though maybe it's just me) , but when I took apart my a5 I had what appeared to be black paint overspray from the factory paint job. I used some steel wool and buffed it all clean, shiny, and smooth. When I was done I blew all the steel wool pieces off with a can of compresed air. Worked great.

I cant see the picture. The only parts that should be black are made out of plastic. Windex works well for removing grime, otherwise its probably overspray as Big G mentioned. The overspray isnt killer but many people (including myself) like to buff it away.
