All markers are chronoed for safety at <300 PSI, so no stock marker will theoretically give you any distance advantage. Barrels can increase accuracy and range, but typically not at the same time. Barrels such as the Flatline and Apex can give you increased distance, but at the cost of accuracy at the extended ranges. There are tons of threads about them, do a search on either key word and you will find them. Accuracy is gained by good paint to barrel match and consistency of the marker. Getting a barrel kit with either sized inserts or different backs will allow you to match the paint to bore as closely as possible, allowing for better accuracy. Consistency between shots also contributes, and this can be attained by swiitching to HPA instead of CO2. Reason being the PSI of HPA does not tend to fluctuate as much as CO2 with the rising/lowering of external temperature.  More consistent PSI output will lead to more consistent shot/shot FPS allowing you to put your balls closer to the same spot every time.  More consistency can be had with CO2 by adding such things as expansion chambers, remote lines, and stabilizers such as those from Palmers. However, it is really difficult if not impossible to get the same shot to shot consistency that is capable when using HPA.

With that said, you could actually get as much distance or accuracy out of your salvo as you can from an A5. In stock form, they are nearly identical in function and  most of the same upgrades are available for both.

No. Buy apex tip for your salvo. Problem solved.

Before getting rid of my 98 Custom, I had my standard barrel machined to take an Apex tip. Increased range, whilst reducing noise level.

It does not really decrease accuracy at longer ranges, you're simply not as accurate as normal with your 'new found range'

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.

Regarding the bolded part: Wouldn't being less accurate as normal at the "new found (longer) range" be the same as decreased accuracy at longer ranges?
