Dude.
I'm willing to bet you it's the tank oring. An O-ring can look perfectly fine and still be messed up. If the SAME problem is happening on two different guns with ONLY that tank, it's defiantly the tank. It may sound like/feel like the air is coming out of different places, but it's probably just leaking around the o-ring. Do you have any leak detechtor so you can actually confirm where it's coming from? change the o-ring or try a different tank. If the problem persists, post again. Also, go with HPA. It's way better than co2. It might cost more to start using it, but it's worth it. It cost 8 dollars to fill a scuba tank, and i can fill my tank several times off that. Granted i can't get as much pressure into my HPA tank everytime, but it's still better than c02. If you're feeling rich you can buy a shoebox compressor and eliminate that problem as well. Have you changed the oring out? Or are you just assuming it's not the oring? That "stupid block" is the equivalent of a jam nut. The more the you screw that line into the gun, the more you have to move the jam nut down. It assures that nothing moves, and everything stays in place. Chill out dude, you're way too mad. Getting mad doesn't fix anything. That "two piece" thing you're referring to is like a quick disconnect. You pull it back, push it into the gun, and push it forward. I'm not sure if there are threads on the power tube, but once it's in by the quick disconnect use a wrench to tighten it up. After that move your jamnut down so it sits where it needs to sit, and put everything back together. If it makes you feel better, use blue loctite on all the threads. I don't know if your familiar with cars, but Jamnuts are used a lot on cars as well. For example, on your TRE's (Tie Rod Ends) when you get a front end alignment, they loosen the jam nuts, and then they give your tie rod ends a few spins until it's aligned, then they tighten the jamnut back down so they can no longer spin. It's the same concept. Edited by Hudson - 27 June 2012 at 9:21pm |

I would try a different tank before you pull your gun apart looking for a non-existent flawed part.
Go into the place that fills them and tell the guy the tank is flawed or something, and try to get him to switch them out for you. Edited by Hudson - 27 June 2012 at 9:27pm |

Where do you live? In the middle of no where? A body shop like place is filling your tanks? You should switch over to HPA. It's cheaper in the long run, and is probably more convenient for you. |

Have you inspected the contact surface of the tank for any scratches or damage? Is that the stock gas line for the 98??

Garribean, here's a video on how to disassemble
& reassemble your marker. Watch the whole video, but the part you need to
see starts at the 8:02 mark. Screw the
gas-line in finger tight & make sure it lines up with the valve
properly. It's important that you do not
tighten the gas-line into the valve assembly until the whole marker is back
together. http://youtu.be/97170WoXyQs
