Leak in A-5

Today i took my gun apart for the first time. After I had cleaned my gun i tried to put it all together. Let me say that it certainly did not work. I was able to put everything back together except that the spring that holds the little clip thing that supports the hose valve flew out and I couldn't put it back in. Because of this i put in tissue paper in the slot to hold it in place. Unfortunately that did not work, but i tried it anyway. I took my gun downstairs and tried firing. Immediately after I put in the tank I heard a leak coming from the valve, but still I tried shooting. I took one shot and the gun did not cock back and a ball did not come out. So is the spring the cause of my problems? If so what can I do?

Well, Enos seems to be skilled at putting smaller springs in. Yes, that spring is a pain for me, and I lost the first one at the field. It flew off once, I found it in the grass. Then I forgot to put the barrel adapter in and had to take it apart again. You can do the click pen spring mod to your trigger, then use the trigger spring to hold it in (stretch it a little). To completely replace the lost spring, you can call Tippmann and ask for a  long trigger spring (the one you replace with the mod is the short trigger spring). The long trigger spring is also referred to as the sear spring. I use a small flat screwdriver to pull the spring back, then quickly manage to slide the tombstone adapter latch back in place. Once it's sitting back in place, you have to hold the spring and push it down so it's somewhat secure. Then reassemble the halves quickly but carefully.

Enos- for the cocking knob spring, just leave it overhanging past the groove. When you put the halves together, just hold them together somewhat firmly and use a screwdriver to slide the spring forward into the groove. With the firm pressure, the halves will go together right when the spring is in place, thus keeping it there.

If you were that low on co2, a leak is normal. The majority of the force holding the guns main valve closed is the pressure of the air contained inside it. Thats why when you run out of air, it makes the lovable fart noise, and then turns into a steady hiss.
