LPK and CAR stock

   Someone told me to post this here...why not

I am trying to attach my CAR stock to my M98 that has an 

LPK. I have several ideas, but the rear cocking is still 

giving me troubles. 

I think I have a method of cocking the gun when the rear 

cocking device is covered by the stock, but to test this 

method I need to take apart the new bolt/cocking device 

that comes with the LPK. 

So before I break anything, is there a way I can remove 

the black cocking rod from the metal bolt, without 

causeing any major damage. ie., any method that would not 

require cutting, hacking and breaking?

How have the bolt and the cocking rod been connected 

together. Have they been glued? Epoxied? Do both of them 

have threads, so they can screw together?

	I don't have any experience with the 98C LPK, but I'd imagine from the pictures I've seen they have to be threaded together. I doubt they're just glued together (not a typical Tippmann method), more than likely they are threaded and sealed with loc-tite. Run it under hot water, put it in a vise with rubber (or something to prevent scratching) and try to get them apart. Is there a way to remove just the rod? If the rod comes out you can just put your regular cocking knob back in. I would imagine the rod is also threaded into the black portion of the bolt. Try to loosen that first, then work on the bolt. There may be some aftermarket rear low pressure bolts for the 98C, but it would be hard to find or not existent. Whatever the case, it would be a good mod to figure out. Calling the Tippmann techs may also do you some good- they more than likely have run into this problem before, and you could even get lucky enough that Tippmann manufactures a normal LPK bolt that uses the standard cocking knob.
