I've owned my A-5 since last year, as I got it as a gift for christmas. We bought it as a kit with the flatline and response trigger already installed. So the following weekend, we went out and everything worked perfectly, and everything has worked perfectly, until about a month ago. My response trigger has been going nuts lately, as with just a touch of the trigger will send the gun into super machine gun sputter (I don't know of any other name) and it will just spit air as fast as it can, so fast that the balls don't even cycle. I have to pull the trigger as hard as I possibly can in order to stop it. I've adjusted the rate screw to both extremes, and I still have the problem. I ended up just taking it off, and that seemed to be the only fix. However, that is until last weekend, and my gun is having the same problem. So now I'm starting to think it's another problem in the gun. I know I put it back together correctly because my dad has the same gun, and I'm the one who cleans it and his works perfectly. On a side note, the paint around my flatline barrel has worn off and now the barrel freely twists off. It has no performance hits, it still shoots fine, but requires the occasional twist back into realignment. It's inconvenient, but somehow an advantage, since when I break a ball (which hasn't happened in months), all I do is twist it off in half a second, squeegie it, and I'm good to go. But I know this isn't how it's supposed to work. Short of sending in my gun to Tippmann and letting them fix it, do you guys have any suggestions for my above problems? Thanks! |

this happens 1. If your CO2 talk is too cold 2. When you run out of CO2 Otherwise I really don't know whats happening. Call tippmann before you send it off. |

Most likely your out of co2 or your tank is low like he said. If your tank is low or cold you wont be getting enough pressure for a complete cycle. Get your tank filled and try keeping it out of the cold with some kind of insulation.

Make sure the sear and the rear bolt aren't worn. You keep the CVX oiled, right? Make sure the ball latch isn't backwards (happens to the best of us). Oil the R/T piston. Check the banjo fittings. You should do a full tear down and rebuild, take everything apart, clean, inspect each part, then reassemble/ replace parts the look like a problem. Tippmann can send you parts, or you can order them here. http://www.chasepb.com
