I recently got my spify new A-5 loving every moment of it ... one problem though i noticed a high number of misfires from the cyclone feed.

Could this be due to to high a setting on my velocity screw ?

I'm using a stock A-5 with CO2.

What climate are you playing in??

Low CO2 expansion will cause the cyclone to skip.

Low expansion can be caused by rapid firing or cold weather. Add an expansion chamber, remote line, or anti-syphone tube to your set-up.

A high velocity will break paint. Don't EVER play/ fire the gun above 300 fps, that is very dangerous. Also, the type of paint and it's size compared to the barrel's bore.

DId you buy in New? If not, you might have a cyclone that isn't updated...look on the bottom of it and there should be an A printed into the plastic. If there isn't you need the updates for it. Call tippmann and give them the SN. They will then send the update to you free of charge.

Bought it new, i've already check for the A and it is there got it on the bottom of the cyclone.

It is probably just cus of low Quality paint or something. I've oiled the marker will see what it does this weekend.

there are two ajuster screws on each end of the hose, but I doubt that is what it is....you could try though.

Those are not adjuster screws, although they work similar to the adjustment screw on the R/T. Crappy paint that is too large to fit into the barrel will break from the front bolt trying to squeeze them in before the air is released. Also brittle paint will break from the force of the front bolt. There is a mod to attach a small spring to the front bolt and linkage arm, using a dremel to cut a groove into the top of the front bolt, and allowing the front bolt to be pushed back slightly when it hits the paint. This can help ease the force put on to the ball in the breech.
