As part of The Gauntlet, Smak Zone's 5 man scenario team challenge, Smak Zone is also hosting a paintball swap meet. Anyone and everyone is invited to bring a table and the gear they might want to sell or trade and set up at no charge. This will be a full weekend event, The Gauntlet being run on Sat. June 2, and a 6 hour mini scenario, open to everyone, hosted on Sunday, June 3.

The Gauntlet will not be for the faint of heart. You will need to be in shape and ready to move fast as time is of the essence. The challenge will require you and your team to think on your feet, memorize and use written information, utilize GPS coordinates and equipment, utilize telemetry tracking equipment, plan assault strategies on the move and deal with the unexpected. You will be blind folded and transported, by M35A2, to a special drop location that no player has ever played before. There, you will receive your initial mission brief in written form and the equipment that you will need to complete your first assignment. You will have 5 minutes, from the time that you receive your brief, to study your information before your Gauntlet begins.

The Gauntlet is a first time Smak Zone event and we are limiting entry to 15 teams. For more information, check out httop://www.smakzone.com/gauntlet.html

Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, team sportsmanship, best organization, and best execution of instruction.

If you are planning on competing in this event and don't know anything about GPS or radio telemetry tracking, it is strongly suggested that you get in the know! The equipment will be provided, but a basic knowledge of it's use will go a long way in taking you to first place!
