I know.

Many upgrades are in order.

Next will be a red dot sight for the A-5, the removal of my 'cocker (I hate the damn thing), and maybe a Palmerization for the PGP.

I can't see the last picture but is that a Blazer at the bottom? For some reason the last one came out half bright/faded yellow and half bright/faded blue with random white outlines.

I wish it was a Blazer. It's just a stock 2k3 green 'cocker.

Not a bad collection. I like the Phantom.

The short barrel and tac hopper combined with the vertical 4 oz makes for an excellent CQB marker.  If your indoors, a laser sight can be added as well (if field legal) and will actually be useful.  CQB ranges don't generally allow for enough arc in the ball to interfere with laser use and the velocity loss from the short barrel is actually a good thing at the engagement ranges in question.

You would only want to run a 4 or a 6 oz tank vertically like that as I've heard of damage to the tombstone receiver on the bodies from heavier tanks that resulted in leaks/valve issues.

I had a set up similar set up for a while, it was quite useful where I used to play as there was an old barn that we would assault and defend occasionally.  I wouldn't bother shooting until I got close or was actually entering because my cut down stock barrel was not that accurate at longer ranges and the 3 1/2 " I cut off of it cost me 35-40 fps in velocity.  However, I had plenty of folks to cover me while I got close.

Edited Note: Nice collection, the A5 is a perfect CQB setup (as mentioned above) and I'm lovin' the Phantom.  It's very similar to mine except that I use an air-through stock and a hopper.  (I even have a similar ding on the same part of the barrel.)

Mac pretty much got it, but doesn't know the whole story.

I like to play medic at scenarios, so a gun that's small and light that I can still defend myself with is very useful.

It also lets me run a lot faster than a similarly built but more heavily encumbered player with no worries of it snagging on anything with my stock folded.

As for the barrel. The JCS X-Short is very accurate.

Like I said a million times before, the velocity drop off from having such a short barrel is negligible, and efficiency is not harmed because of the way velocity is adjusted on Tippmanns. When I got it, it was shooting just above 300 fps.

The tank gets about 130 shots... about 100 before I notice a drop in velocity. But because of the nature of playing medic, I filled it about 6 times and used a bit more than 500 shots; mostly used when I got caught in combat with so few teammates that bothering to heal the other guys is worse for progress.

Those would be the advantages of actually buying a good short barrel over making one with a hacksaw and a stock barrel.
