My Tippman a5 breaking paint and dont know why.=(

   Hi ladies and Gents,

So here is my story,  i have a Tippman a5 that just keeps breaking paint.... im pretty sure its breaking after it leaves the cyclone feeder, becuase when i pull my hopper to see if i have chopped paint in the cyclone its fairly clean just a little paint leaking out through the bolt / barrel hole slowly into the feeder, they are also breaking at slow firing rates!!?? i mean one pull of the trigger a second and say like maybe every 20 shots or so i will break paint its realling annoying and if i use my response trigger and open up it is worse, it breaks with in 5 balls it seams... i switched out my bolt that was int he a5 repair kit the one that came with the red power tube, as well as switching back the the original power tube,  i also barrowed another barrel and barrel adapter from a guy who also has a tippman a5 and he has no problems with his stuff so im kinda getting down to the i dunno what to do now that i trade everything... i also have the squishypaddles and the upgraded vortex ratchet and that seeems to move smooth as can be, i also replaced the orange ball stopper thinking that could of been it also... i would apreciate some info or suggestions if any of u have some...every time i break a ball i tear the whole thing apart clean it up and reoil it and bang try it again and i got some breakage=(  frustrating i went out on a 24 hr scenario game this weekend and everyone else who had a5s were shooting flawlessly 12balls a sec more on full auto at my side pod after pod hopper after hopper and never broke a single ball. lol they were throwing down cover fire as i cleaned my barrel every 30 seconds it seemed =(((((

	Here's what's happening. The cyclone is causing a very small crack in the paintballs. This small crack isn't big enough to let paint ooze out. That's why the cyclone is clean. The crack in the paintball shell greatly reduces the structural integrity of the paintball. The paintball makes it into the breech just fine but when you pull the trigger and the air pressure hits the ball, the ball explodes down the barrel. To test this theory do this.--- Load the marker like you're going to play. Shoot one ball. Then take the barrel and air off and remove the next ball that is sitting in the breech and inspect it for a very small crack. If you keep doing this you will eventually find balls with cracks in them. BE SAFE!! WEAR YOUR GOGGLES AND REMOVE THE AIR SOURCE BEFORE REMOVING THE BALLS!!! You can do this without air. Just push the plunger on the cyclone in and let your finger slip off the edge of it so that it SNAPS back. This wil mimick how it works when fired with air. The balls are hitting the edge of the hole as they leave the cyclone.This is what is causing the small crack. If you can shamfer the edge of that hole it will help. If that's too hard to get to I would just try using paint with a thicker tougher shell. Good luck, let us know how it goes. Edited by DVLCHLD - 09 September 2009 at 5:32pm
	I've never seen anyone own the woods because of what marker they use.

	Once you have the original parts back in the marker I would suggest checking the air fitting on the side of the marker for two things: Inspect the o-ring for damage. Insure the fitting is tight enough to prevent air loss. You can also check the rear bolt o-ring for damage. (This o-ring prevents air from bypassing the rear bolt, essentially forcing it into the cyclone tube; excess air leaking past this is less air to run the cyclone.) You didn't mention your air source, which makes it harder to help you.
