b2k4s are now only 200, id get that or get an ion, NO ONE YELL AT ME BECAUSE I SAID ION or yell at me for writing in caps but ions arent that bad, they are good low priced guns for most guns you need a hpa tank and i suggest an egg2 |

Yeah, the Ion is good, but the gun itself costs $300. You'd then need to get a Comp. Air tank (cheapest one is about $60) and then a hopper (say, $50.) If you can get $400 put together, go with the Ion.

Backman is no fun, and you need high bps to cover the field properly.
Besides bps, accuracy is also important, you want to be able to hit
tight spots where someone's foot or leg might be showing.
I'd look for a more high end used gun, then a new lower end model. I sold my Angel LCD recently for $300 and it was a tight gun. Playing other positions is more fun (my opinion anyway), and your 98 would work better there if you decided to keep it. |

your 98c would be fine if you added an ebolt but if not the ion is a gun worth its price

You don't even really need an E-bolt, just as long as you have good eyes, leadership skills, communication skills, and teamwork. I have a 98 Custom with a custom made trigger, and I can put out maybe 6-10 bps, which is WAY more than I need.

Not to rain on your parade, but 6 to 10 bps isn't going to cut it
playing backman in speedball. You're going to need an electro marker of
some type.
The Ebolt will make your 98 alot faster (with practice), but it may not be fast enough. And you still need accuracy. |

E blade it or buy the custom pro e sell your 98 and use that money for either A. the engler double trigger (best one for the 98) or buy the WAS board. See I am not a stupid as you think.
