    Posted: 26 July 2005 at 4:07pm

I know this is kinda newbish but after i get my lapco bigshot 12'' for ym A-5 what should i get next? im debating on an e-grip but i dont use auto that much i was just think auto would ber useful to hit ppl off the break. but the e-grip is 100 bucks. i hear good things about palmers but really don't know how they work. i know they make ur shots more cinsistent and stuff but i was wonmdering if it gets in the way or anything. so feel free to suggest some upgrades or answer my questions

Switch to compressed Air first and foremost. Then get a good regulator (bob long or palmer stab) then get fire power upgrades like the e-grip. Also ya might want to spend a lil on a good mask first, dye invision or vforce profiler or one of the new JT's.

Put a strip of duct tape over what? Did I miss something?

I think you are rushing into these upgrades. The best thing to do is buy the gun stock, play with it, upgrade to your preferences. We can only give you advice but in the end, it is you who decides how you want your marker.

I don't see much point in a LPK. What exactly are the advantages of it?

im getting a bigshot because they're more accurate and stuff. but i changed my mind totally today so im keeping my flatline and adding a sight to my A-5 and thas' my woodsball gun and now im saving up for a blue ion with HPA and a lapco clamp feedneck and a halo or sumthin. ( anyone know a good electro hopper for 10-15 BPS?) tahs cheap i just here halo's are sweet so i was gonna get that or a revvy or an evo II

A revvy is perfect for 10-15 bps. I halo is a bit of overkill for your needs.

But is it really worth the $120?

I've seen ION's ramp up to 20bps so a 10-15bps hopper is useless.

The thing is, he asked for a hopper that would feed 10-15 bps, not how fast ions can ramp up to. I gave him his answer which is a 12v revvy.

Hey Headshot...

The Ion is a great idea, but you'll denfinatly need to go HPA if you get one of those.

Don't waste your money on a sear-tripping POS item like the e-grip. DON'T GET ME WRONG! I really like A-5's, I just don't like any electronic frames. Those guns weren't built to handle the range of firepower produced by a electronic grip.

If you get an Ion, I suggest going with the 14" J&J Ceramic (best bang for the buck). The feed neck is pretty darn tight, so I don't really see the need for you to go out and buy a clamping feed neck right away.

Oh, yeah and the trigger on the Ion is pretty much crap, I would definately look into getting a roller bearing trigger (I got a blade). Those are a little tricky to install, but they make a world of difference.

If you really want to upgrade your a-5 go with HPA, and learn how to use a double trigger. LP, may not be really effective for you. Just get a reg (palmer...).

I hope that actually helps out,
Later

Yeah yeah...I just didnt want him to waste his money on a hopper that we will eventually out shoot if he gets an ION.
