Hey all

I just started playing paintball and ive got a tippman 98 custom and i know the stock barrel is horriable so i changed it to a 14" one so that its a bit more accurate. Anywho i need some advice as i do enjoy the game and i want to upgrade my marker. I would like to know what advantages the response triger has, also what the low presure system has to offer. What does an expansion chamber do? Is there any point in getting the double trigger if u dont have the response?and thats all. Thanks for ther help and yes i know im newb

welcome to the forums, the respones tigger is very good, if you hold it at the right spot it goes like auto, but some tournys don't aloud them. the low pressure system makes the air more time to expaned. the expansion chamber does the same thing, but a reg helps stablize the pressur right for a gun. The double trigger make walking the gun better and the pull of the trigger alittle more lighter.

im wonderin what the next step would be to upgrade my gun i mean i play and learn so i as a player am improving but i do need to improve the gun. And thank u for the welcome. Also what is special about an autococker and can a tippmann be like an autococker as i have noticed (and it has bothered me) that my gun doesnt get the distance i want and does curve often. What is the best way to correct this? again thank for the help

cp barrels are good.

Low pressure system doesn't give air more room to expand, it lowers the operating pressure of your marker and gives less kick, more shots per tank, its mostly hype IMO.

Reposne trigger pushes the trigger back into place very hard and when you tune it you can "sweet spot it" and gets a full auto effect, most tourneys wont let you use it though.

Double trigger is just a trigger you can use 2 fingers on, pointless unless you get an e-bolt, your not gona walk a mech without straining to where it wont be accurate.

as far as the next stop to upgrading we need to know, how much you can spend and if you play speedball or woodsball.

i would spend 200 i mean id have tyo save up but if it makes sense to have that next and its the best thing i can get than ya but if there is cheaper stuff that i can get and makes the marker better than that would be prefered and i play woodsball if i ever play speed ill just get another gun and customize that but that wont be for a long time

Well in the woods are u a front player or a back player?
i have been playing for several years with my stock 98c but just take it slow. Get used to your gun and if u want a fire power upgrade i would get the e bolt because it is legal at more place.

if you get an e-bolt or a response you'll want to invest in a new hopper and you should get an ex-chamber (or hpa/nitro if you have the money), my dad just got a 98c and we went out and shot when it was a little cool out and everytime i shot it everything would disappear in clouds of co2, also a rocket cock would be a nice upgrade, and a drop if you want, most of all do what alienbow13 said and get used to your gun and really try to fromiliarize yourself with it before you start going too crazy with it, take your time and read up on the different upgrades and decide which ones would suit your style of play the best, and always take your budget into account if you spend all your money on upgrades you wont have enough money for field fees and paint

LiKE evreyone else has said, take your time, do your research, and find what wirks best, if you want you can get two guns to take with you and you get one for each round that would suit the round best.  Like if you get a sniper use it on a swat course or something.  even though it is alot more money.  I dont even have a gun yet.  Trying to get an A-5 though.  Pricing around for upgrades and the marker. Does ne1 know where i can order one for cheap, my dad wont let me use e-by, so that is out of the question, there was one for $5 on there with 2 hours left.  He woldnt let me bid.  There was also one with 2 masks, a v-force and a thermal, 3 notrogen tanks garunteed to be full, an almost new marker,2000 rounds, a pod holder  with pods, and an elbow and cord.  The nitrous tanks were all 32oz.  The marker had an egrip and a flatline barrel.  Only $275, and my dad wouldnt let me get it.  And that is a good deal, and did i mention, only 1 hour left on the bidding
