Hello tippmann forums. Once again I have a question to ask thee that I couldn't seem to find on my own. Heres my problem:

For quite a while I have been wanting to upgrade my custom 98 to a better speedball gun but I don't have the money to buy it all at once. So I figure I will do it in stages... Stage one: Nitrogen tank.

    My questions are

1. Generally what is a good size Nitrogen tank?

2. I have a vest that holds up to a 20oz Co2 tank, would I be able to continue using that?

3. Would my remote line be able to handle a big scary Nitrogen tank in the first place?

  45/4500 should do

3. Would my remote line be able to handle a big scary Nitrogen tank in the first place?

I love this forum. I got my answer in 3 mins flat. Is 45/4500 larger than a 20oz 02 tank?

Yes.  That is the drawback to HPA tanks.  They are generally larger than their C02 counterparts.

Does larger = heavier too?

Should I just sell my pods and line to buy a good ol drop forward?

Only if the tank is of metal construction.  If you have a fiber-wrapped or composite tank, it is generally lighter, but bulkier.

I don't understand why you'd want to sell your pods.  You still would need to reload in a game if necessary, right?

You think so?... Good point. I bought that pod vest for holding my Co2 in the first place though. Maybe I can do some ghetto fabrication and make my new nitro tank fit...

No not illegal, but highly impractical.

Tough to shoot both handed with a remote line.

If your shooting a Tippy, I recommend at least a 68/4500 to get close to the same amount of shots per tank as a 20oz CO2.

My 2 cents.

What Ken said.  45ci is too small for most people.  68ci minimum.
