Why don't many fields allow full auto markers? I've searched and searched and I can't find one that allows them.

the reason is basically safety. Many safety reasons, actually.
Say you have you're barrel plug in your marker in a safe zone. Your marker is turned on, and you lay it on something non-flat and the trigger is accidentally pulled. Your gun fires 10-20 shots before you can get to it. That barrel plug is going to shoot out after the first 1-2 shots and then you won't have anything stopping the other balls. Also, sometimes the straps on the back of paintball masks get worn out. Sometimes, if someone shoots someone 8 times in the mask at a medium-short distance, the mask could fly off and then they will take the rest of the balls to the face. This is also why you see chin-straps on a lot of modern masks. There are even more reasons, but really, you'll learn you don't need a super-high rof to be good. You can't hit a person when they're behind a bunker, and it only takes 1 hit to get them out. |

I honestly don't know why barrel plugs are allowed anymore.
They really aren't safe in comparison to barrel bags. |

ok.
But just so you know, most markers that are auto, can be switched back to semi. Plus the fact that they are electronic reduces the trigger pull a lot. So there are more upsides to going electric than fully auto. |

It doesn't matter if it can be switched, all the fields around where I live don't allow a full auto capable marker, Oh well, I guess full auto is a waste of paint anyways.

Exactly. Another reason for no full auto, is bonus balling. Overshooting someone. |

Barrel plugs are being banned more often now and are being replaced by barrel condoms more and more now. Many fields recognize that most barrel plugs shoot out of the barrel with the first ball and barrel condoms won't . Tippmann has even started including barrel condoms instead of plugs now. |

You should check if tourney-lock is allowed. (tourney lock makes so so that your gun can't shoot any mode but semi) |

If they don't allow a marker capable of full auto, I wonder how much business they get because most people's markers have a full auto option.

They get business because they rent out semi auto markers, and one of them allows full auto on special days, like 2 or 3 times a month, plus, they get business because they are the only fields in their area.

Okay, but still practically every electronic, either electropnuematic or sear tripping gun, has a full auto capability. Going by what you are saying only mechanical guns are allowed. If you see an ion, bushmaster, angel, impulse, ego, mini, minion, spyder w/ electronic grip frame, shocker, nerve, etc... then they allow guns that can shoot full auto, but do not allow them to use that capability. If they truely do not allow markers capable of firing full auto, I would suggest getting yourself a nice autococker... or if you still want to sling a tremendous amount of paint... a Freestyle (04: gen 1 or 2/or a 2005), as the earlier modeled ICD freestyles shoot insanely fast, but their boards are semi auto only. Where do you think they say something that you can't bring markers with a full-auto feature?

NO UNAUTHORIZED EQUIPMENT. Players are not allowed to bring onto the playing field any equipment deemed to be unsafe or not appropriate by the field operator. Players are not allowed to use any gun that has an enhanced trigger mode. All guns must be actual semi-auto. One complete trigger pull for each round fired. Players are not allowed to wear metal cleats. Players are never allowed to bring onto the field knives of any size, tools of any sort, machetes, axes, hatchets, paint grenades, paint mines, multiple paintball launchers, pyrotechnics, smoke grenades, or any type of firearms or explosives. Hmmm... I can't figure out 100% what that means. You should call the field and ask. Make sure you also ask about tourney lock. That would be really weird if they didnt allow guns that could go fully auto. |

Thanks, it would really ruin my plans for a marker if electronic triggers weren't allowed, as i plan to purchase the triumph ext.

That's pretty standard language for rules. I would call ahead, but generally it just means that you can't have ramping/auto available on the field. So Spyders with "cheater-buttons" would not be allowed, but E-Tippmanns would be.
