Are they semi automatic or do you have to cock it for each shot? And are they even worth it? I know theres alot of better pistols but that is the only one in my price range........ Id love to get a 3357 but $60 for a pistol is a bit too much for me....

detrevini check ebay. They are .50 cal revolvers. Just google "Crosman 3357" and its also similar to one of crosmans air guns that they make now if you need parts |

I'm looking at an eBay 3357, and it's already hit 81 bucks... As for the Splatmasters, old school is always fun, but I don't know much about them. |

The Splatmaster is good if you need a bargain basement, all plastic paintball pistol, circa 1987, that has a 3 inch barrel. It is a pump by way of having a cocking handle that protrudes from the rear of the marker and must be pushed in before every shot. The Splatmaster is horribly innacurate by todays standards, but is usefull if you want an extreme challenge in even a stock pump class. If you can find a supply of .50 cal paint, the 3357 is a much better pistol.

I know, I thought I mentioned that. I guess not. Still want it, but would rather have the pump kit for the 'cocker...

What he ^^^ said. Only thing I can add is that the splatmaster's had a barrel that was a little longer than 3 inches (almost 5 I think) and that the only way to adjust the velocity was by changing springs. The inaccuracy it is now known for is due to the fact that the barrel is made out of plastic and molded as part of the body. Using one today would definitely be a challenge because of how the game has changed. I remember going on the field with my rental splatmaster charged up with a 12 gram in the handle and a 10-round tube in the ammo tube (upper barrel) and my shop goggles in place. People thought I was trigger happy because I always carried a spare 10-round tube of paint. Edited by Mack - 28 August 2006 at 10:44pm |

i have never played with my splatmaster but its a realy cool pistol. the 3357s are cool and you can find paint at alot of sporting goods stores.
007s and splatmasters were both .68 cal and "pump" although neather came with a pump handle (untill later 007s) my recomendation for a pistol to play with would be a PGP www.mcarterbrown.com has alot of older more rare guns for sale. |
