Well, My 98 upgrading is done for now. I need a double trigger and a guard for the rear cocking. Other than that, I am happy. I played speedball on the new setup saturday. The rear cocking knob hits my goggles and uncocks the gun every once in a while. I did this once while sprinting up to the 50 and got completely lit up. lol. The RT is faster now, and the sweet spot is easier to maintain. If I turn it up, my hopper doesnt stand a chance at feeding it.
I am running just under 400psi, and I am spiking about 6 feet per second. Anybody else try the empire reg? How does it handle co2? I had no pump down. Accuracy was practically doubled. I cant wait to shoot a good paint through it. I had a crappy paint/barrel match witht the field paint. Im thinking that this may be the reason for the consistancy being a little off. I did not bust A SINGLE BALL in over 1500. Tell me what you think of it. My camera wont really take a good picture of the paint. Its black with metalic green speckled fade. I like it in person, but the pics just look like a speckled black.

Looks good, except for the hose. I run at 230, 400 seems pretty high. I use the Palmer Fatty Stabilizer. |

I just left the guard off for looks, I really like the Rufus Dawg double trigger thats just straight down, but that'll have to wait.
I agree about the hose, need some macroline. Do you get pretty good efficiency at 230? Whats "the best" pressure to run a 98 at? I thought I had read somwhere it was around 350, and I also run the RT, so I just shot for 350-400. My reasoning may be off though, Edited by chigger81 - 25 July 2006 at 12:43pm |

IMO i don't like the paint job at all. it looks weird. not clean. the drop is very low. you need a shorter one. and i'd get a better hopper. that one is cheap. other then that nice set up |

You could make a rear cocking guard quite easily. Simply drill two holes the size of a metal coat hanger into the end cap. Bend the wire into a good lookin guard. Then poke the hanger through the holes just enough that you can bend the two ends up to lock it in place. Maybe throw some glue on for good measure.
