I know ther is another paintjob thread but won't spray paint chip? If you do use spray paint when it dries will you put something over it for it not to chip?

yeah spray painting sucks..don't do it waste of time and money..get it powdercoated...nelson country customs does fabulous work at reasonable prices...check em out..

You could also read the stickys for further info on painting your marker.

i doubt that nelson county customs will cost less that a can of spray paint and a can of clear coat

Yup. Spray paint it in your base colour, then spray paint anything else you want on top of it, then clear coat it.

When I painted mine, I didn't know abotu clear coats. The paint's still msotly held up, but I ought to redo it at some point...

Not necessariy. A clear coat will, however, protect the colour coats. Any scratches in your paint will just affect the clear- not the paintjob itself.

You can get flat clear coat spray and I have about 10 flat clear coats on my 98c and it doesnt shine or glisten at all when the sun is fully out.
