I shoot a Sniper2... I prefer the feel compared to a Phantom. It is easier for me to adjust back to my DMs with the Sniper compared to the Phantom. With that said... either way, you can't go wrong. The Phantom isn't raved about for no reason. They build a great marker. |

Shoot them both and see.
Honestly they both do the same thing, they shoot a paintball. But its all about which style you prefer. Sniper has under-cocking with the pump handle under the barrel, the phantoms pump handle is around the barrel. Both give a different feel and shooting position. Sniper also pumps smoother in my opinion. Ive never really liked the feel of nelson based pumps. It just seems clunky. |

Id opt for the phantom.
I like the idea of haveing the autotrigger in a tight spot. Oh and i like the lower profile of the phantom AND ya cant play stock class with a sniper 2. |

Cockers are touchy when you have to deal with a Ram, 3_way and LPR... basically the whole front block. Wait a minute, all of that is removed with a Sniper. I guess it isn't touchy at all. |

Both are excellent pump guns. Either one would be a good choice.
Benefits of the Sniper include a vast array of aftermarket accessories and BARRELS that can be used, given their interchangable with the Autococker series. Downfall of the Sniper is that you are limited to pump-class play. Should you ever decide to try Stock-Class... the Phantom would be the one to pick. As you can switch between Stock/Pump class by changing the breech. Something you cannot do with a Sniper series. |

Its something I have with cockers, dont like em. And, The sniper 2 can be turned into a stock class marker. All you have to do is make your own feed tube, which shouldn't be to hard. Yakitori made a SL-68 II into a beautiful stock class glass. So it can't be hard to make a stock class feed system. |

The cocker is a very accurate gun plus it is reliable and can be fast if you want. I say the cocker but just get the good sight and nitro or youll have a non accurate sniper. Why do you snipe?

Cockers are usually quieter and more accurate because the closed bolt idea distributes the gas more evenly around the bolt and ball so the ball doesnt get bounced off the barrel and get weird spin which obviously aint gonna gog someone from more than twenty feet away. You do intend to "snipe" im guessing.
