Particularly the hammer "O" ring. Also, is your tank full?

Howdy!

Sounds a bit like a leak or, as mentioned above, jamming internals or a nearly empty tank.  When you gas up your gun, listen for hissing.  If its not the valve screws as mentioned below, put soapy water all over the gun and gas it up to find leaking spots.

Check your valve screws, they are the two screws next to each other on the right side of the gun.  If they are loose or missing it can cause air to leak out, causing that problem.  If it is that, call Tippmann and they can send you out some new ones, or if you'd rather not wait, KRL15 posted a perfect guide on making your own valve screws whichh isnt that hard.  If this is not the case, its still a good idea to loctite those screws in.

Oiling the gun would also be a very good idea, be sure to oil all the o-rings and anything that moves.

Another cause could be the ball detent, the little orange rubber thing in the breech, if its put in backwards, sometimes the front bolt gets stopped by it and the gun uncocks.

It is the valve screws.

My brothers gun did the exact same thing.

If you have a VA, you dont need those screws though.
