hay everybody hows it going? i was just writing to see what everybody thinks about the lapco bigshot? i`m kinda getting sick of my flatline barrel, yeah it shoots far but if you cant keep it on target what good is it. so i was thinking about the laco bigshot (12in) what distance can i expect from this barrel? can i shoot any paint out of it?can it handle ball speeds up to 300fps? (with good paint) i was just wondering what everyone thought...

I have a Lapco Big shot 12'' it has the same rang as any other barrel. It's a little loud but very accurate and has worked with all paint I've used with it even very old on dimpled paint (The accurayc was not too great but no breaks) I ussualy run mine at 280 (The field limit) with no problems there should be no problem at 300fps either. great barel I highly reccommend it.

Good Luck!

Excellent barrel, definitely my barrel of choice when I need accuracy.

...what distance can i expect from this barrel?

Not nearly as much as the flatline, that's for sure. You'll get the same range as everybody else shooting at the same speed.

can i shoot any paint out of it?

Just about. It's a medium bore barrel so it accepts a nice variety of paint which is great if you have a limited selection.

can it handle ball speeds up to 300fps?

Yes but unless that is the chrono limit at your field then you should not be shooting that fast. The field I play at is 280 fps and I usually shoot at about 270 just to be safe. You start to lose accuracy at higher velocities anyway because even a minor spin will be exaggerated and cause the ball to fly into never never land. You could also injure somebody or crack a lens at those speeds so it's best to stay well under 300 fps (I think lenses are rated for impact at about 315 fps max).
