I play mostly speed and airball and want a firepower upgrade.  I will be playing in some tournaments this  summer and have heard that many dont let R/T's play. What is the best for my A-5 and why??????????

Check the fields you will be doing the tournaments at, mine let me use them in our tournaments, if so i would get the r/t because its really easy sweet spot it and get about 13bps on it if not more.

Get the r/t if allowed in your area. It has 2 major pluses over the e-grip! It is cheaper, and you can use it in rain unlike the e-grip which runs on batteries! But if not allowed in your area get the e-grip

If your going to be playing tournements, then get the E-Grip. Like you said, many tournies do not allow r/t. Besides EGRIP will give you burt modes and full auto.... every speedballers dream.
