If I get an expansion chamber what kind performance will I get from it?  Should I get the x-core? Is it really only $20 or do I need something else to get it to work?

Well an expansion chamber catches liquid Co2 that sneeks into your gun while firing.  I have heard great things about the x-core and in fact I have one comming in the mail right now.  Which gun are you planning to put this expansion chamber onto?  Chances are you will need some sort of macroline kit.

Hope this helps, good luck!

Ok I have an x-core and love it! You will need the macro line kit with 2 90* fitings and also a vertical adapter for installation! If you are using the 98 custom! Its a great x-chamber and yes its only 20$ but dont let the price fool you its better than the 50$ gta 2 stage expansion chamber!

Yeah it's on a 98c.  So it catches the liquid that comes in my gun, so how will it help?  Is there any performance gains?  How much will it all cost with the new fitting, and are they on the same site?  Could you show them to me?

And dont forget to teflon tape the threads or air will leak through them.

Liquid co2 is bad! An x-chamber will not "catch" the liquid. It gives the co2 more time to expand into gaseous form. This form of co2 is more consistant and puts less wear on your internals. So, you get better accuracy, efficiency and reliability out of an x-chamber.

Alright thanks warbreak.  So would I be better off getting an expansion chamber or barrell for accuracy?  What will the total be after getting all the fittings and where can I get them?

Macroline holds up very well with C02..

I used to design packaging machinery and we constantly ran air lines that use Parker (brand name) macrolines on many assemblies...never ever seen one "bursting" from the hose. Though once or twice I have seen a line came out from the fitting while air pressure was going through and that's because the hose wasn't properly pushed all the way in.

If a line ever broke, it's because it was abused in a fashion like knicks or deep scratches, and even then you should replace it!

Steel hoses are great too, my only grudge is that they only come in certain sizes and won't fit in properly sometimes.
