ive played against spyder, including the fenix. also a M3 Black Dragun (which i really like). btw sorry to sound mean in that last post i just hate it when people rip on tippmanns when they think thier gun is so bad. Dont get me wrong i think the fenix is good, but an A-5 so much better. When u get an angel, then u can complain that tippmanns are slow. Dude I have an A-5 and the Fenix. I think I would know which one out performs the other. In my eyes there is NO comparison. The Fenix IS a GREAT SPEEDBALL marker, and a stock A-5 IS a GREAT WOODSBALL marker, but the A-5 stock does NOT in any way compare to the Fenix. The A-5 is poorly made (in my opinion) I mean its 100% plastic besides the back bolt, as where the Fenix is all Aluminum, or a kind of metal. Also field stripping the A-5 is a pain in the behind. Once you put $400 into the A-5 yeah its alright, but isn't that silly when you could have gotten a Cocker, Bushmaster, or Impy. ------------- yay do i win? |

j2duhr, what do you mean the A5 is made of 100% plastic? You "own" an A5 yet you haven't noticed the body to be metal? By the way, the plastic that they do use is so the gun is lighter, it's still extremely durable and made to last. I heard about them, i just cant think of their name. it starts with an m i think. anyway, its a pro (maybe am. but im not sure) team that only uses pump markers, and they compete against all the other pro teams with cockers and timmies and such. in my eyes, the pump players that equally compete with timmies and such, have the most skills out there. |

Look inside the A-5 bolt. Its metal, or more specifically silver shiney stuff. The bolt is coated in metal. Black metal. Just cause its not silver and shiney doesnt mean its not metal. Ever hear of cast iron. Anyways, i think im gonna go join the Kingman forum and make a bunch of post saying things like "my tippmann could OWN ur spyders". Then they will realize the error of thier ways and thier whole forum will join ours. edit: the black is plastic but the inside (valve area) is metal. Thats what counts. All the plastic does is hold the pieces together. and plastic is strong. Ok seriously, Tippmann owners can stop acting all high and mighty, just because this is a Tippmann forum doesnt give you the right to bash anyother gun posted. I see it all the time in any thread that isnt a Tippmann gun. I posted my Angel and some noob said it sucked and his A-5 was better..Believe it or not, there are waaay better guns out there than Tippmanns. They are a good noob gun, but nothing more. Ive owned both a Tippmann (M98C and P/C) and a Sypder Electra DX, the DX owned the other too. But that really doesnt mean anything to anyone other than myself. Its all about your style of play, the Tippmanns just werent as effective for me as the Spyder was. Jeez, can't we all just get along? On to the topic, most of you need to shut up. Some of you have no idea why you hate spyders besides the fact that everyone else does and you think it's "cool" to get on the bandwagon. Spyders are great guns, they're quality might not be that bad but what do you expect from $60 worth of equipment? You can't compare a $60 Spyder Victor to a $130 Tippmann 98 Custom in quality, thats like comparing a Geo to a Jaguar. However, once you get up there in the Tippmann price range, some Spyders have better quality and a load of goodies built in (unlike Tippmanns). In my book, Spyders and Tippmanns are equal. |

That is a Nelspot 007....Its a great pistol...best one out of the 3 (currentally..I will be getting more)...the only problem is it is Pump....I will sell it for a price...It was my first pistol...so It might be a little high for the price...And it is rare to find one that an owner that will sell it....Ill be to let it go but in the long run it will be ok....If you do your research youll find out it is a great pistol...Look at my whole arsenal at http://tippmann.com/players/forum/wwf77a/forum_posts.asp?TID=101839&PN=1&TPN=1 - **SOL Generals' Arsenal**

dude tippys and spyders are two different types of guns, both equally as good, just not in all the same areas. tippmans have reliabilty and durability, spyders have speed and higher end ones are pretty reliable. ------------- cocker shooter PREDATOR PAINTBALL |

People...I have not come here to start a war I have come here to spread What I love...The Sport Of Paintball and The guns I use....This is a thread about spyders and I posted a pic as so did many of people...Why, if you dont like us posting pics of spyders, dont you go tell the people with DM4s, angels, and Impys to do the same and stay off of the Tippy forum...I have alot of guns people..I know my way around....All of my guns I own are Durable...reliable...and Fine tuned with great upgrades...I can squeese a good 16Bps out of my stock mech trigger on the spyder and a good 10 out of the R/T trigger (single Trigger)...So think about, if the admins didnt delete this thread dont go bashing the guns on this thread....Please....

I have plenty of Witnesses....I use my middle finger on the lowest part of the trigger and move it very fast....my girlfriend has helped me get my fingers fast ...it doesnt matter if you dont belive me but it is at least 13+/-....Ive dont my fair share of shooting my spyder....Im fast....thats why i won 4 games this weekend against a timmy a dm4 and an angel...Me vs all....I put the tank on my shoulder and pulled as fast as possible...and i got 13 bps+...I should take a video to show you...once I take it and find out how to host it ill show everyone....

lol I dont use just my finger I use a combonation of my finger, my wrist, and my arm....move them all at the fastest humanly possible and you can get 13 Bps....I also have a thing wrong with my wrist so that I can have a ''Spasm'' or sorts with my wrist...Im not a liar...Its strictly against my morals...but I can go 13+/- on a stock mech trigger.....

idk bout the timmy....my friend lives in upstate NY....I will do the Spyder tho...and the Timmy was a one time thing....Idk if I can ever do it again...BUT, I think I have video of that...we were taping how fast we could do it a while ago..Ill ask my friend about it...

It most parts it CAN be the player instead of the gun. A couple of weeks ago, I played at my local field against a 15 year old with an Angel, I thought "Hmmmmm... he's gonna kick my arse." then in turn, he lost so bad that he didn't even know how many times I had hit him. I use to own a Spyder, so did my friend, Victors to be exact. After trying to WALK the the 6lb. trigger pull, we decided to throw them in the trash and get A-5's. After doing everything I've done to my A-5, I can shoot faster than my friend wlaking his Angel A4. (although he's pretty slow, it still rips) AND to be sure of this, we had two of the refs watch us walk our triggers, and my A-5 was shooting faster. ------------- ! ! ! ! ! ! |

Ya i own a spyder extra that has a 14in j&j ceramic barrel , sprint electronic trigger frame, dead on black 8 stage expansion sum long bolt a swingin cradle forgot the name , and i jus played a 98 flatline and a a-5 flatline e-grip and im gonna have to say i sat in the same place the whole game cause i was afraid to move it sucked i couldnt even see the a-5 comin up so i didnt no where he was and i was worried about him poppin up and picken me off so the 98 c picked my hopper off ... the balls float right in on those flatlines good job tippman... i want a tippmann but cant afford it with my betting habits im 14 and have a year and a half worth of experience playin agianst 16 year olds wit 7 years... that was a 2-1 match ...luckley i held them off for quite i bit . but really to all u ppl sayin tippmanns are better as long as its shooting straight ,it works and is not breaking im not goin to care in the heat of the battle..........------------- im on the ground im in the trees i sting jus like a bumble bee .Your sneakin ...sneaking up on my team so innocent as 1 could c . but suddenly from up above u get picked off from me "**edited** bait" |

Since when is a Tippmann A-5 all plastic? I could have sworn that some one put just a tiny bit of aluminum in there mixed with some steel and cast iron. -snake eyes LOL but yeah id rather have a gun that would last a lifetime, and not a gun i had to keep replacing or fixing all the time. out of all the tippmanns ive owned ( model 98, 98 custom, pro/carbine, and an sl68II,) never had a problem with any of them. all were under freaquent use also, every time id play id use them all. a friend of mine went through 3 imagines. had the same problem with each of them. now hes got a bob long defiant ------------- You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes |

Once again, Spyders = Good guns, not as durables as Tippmanns, so what? Just because Spyders arn't as durable you people make lies about how they suck so bad, they do not suck, at all. And stop making storys that are pretty much lies like that Spyder Victor Story. |
