If your looking for rugged realiability at a great price Tippmann is a great choice. Is it better then every other marker? Well that depends who you ask.

I would have to say no to that question, but if you are limited by price range it is very nice. It will almost never break down and there are many upgrades for them all. They are probably the most reliable gun in paintball. Most of my friends have them and really like them. There are also many other higher performance guns that cost much more, but if you are a rec. paintballer than a tippmann is perfect. Hope i answered your question.

It is all opinion and preference. I have just started and everyone said that if you need a durable reliable gun, get a Tippmann 98c. I just got mine and i love it. Even if it is still stock, it still preforms very well. Tippmann makes great guns. Thats all there is to it. Is it better than some other guns? Couldn't tell you....

Tippmanns are made more for woodsball in my opinion, so they are probably the best woodsball guns, but for speedball, they would probably be beat just because of their shape, and performance, of course you could upgrade and tippmann a lot but it also depends on the skill of the player.

In the hands of the right player, any gun could be the best gun.
Tippmann's are known for they're great durability and customizability (lol is that even a word?). If your a new player looking for a good gun, Tippmann is the way to go.

tippmanns are best for woods ball in my opinion although they are definately not the best gun and arent better than any other one by far ... especially if we are talking about a tournament gun...

Tippmanns are the best for the money you pay for them. The quality of
tippmanns are very high, but the next step up is a 1,000 dollar gun. Even
the 1,000 dollar guns are a small step above tippmanns and they are
harder to maintain. Have fun!

Boy, this really irks me.
What's this crap about price range??? Are you telling me that just because you spend 1000 bucks on a marker, it's better than my $275 A-5?
Hardly. The only people that use those expensive massive ROF markers are the people that need to.
I've used my A-5 speedballing plenty of times, and have had just as much success as the guys with the E-blades and IR3's. They can fire a million rounds a second. I can shoot straight.
There may be better markers than a tippmann out there, but as far as I'm concerned you people put far too much emphasis on price. You can pick up some $600 pieces of crap out there, but because it's monetary value is higher than that of my Tippmann, according to some of you, it's a better marker.
I've used many different products in the 7 years I've been playing. Everything from Brass eagle, Autocockers, Phiranas, Kingmanns, Armotechs, and even got a chance to mess with an IR3 once.
What markers do I STILL use? My tippmanns.
If you want to dump a crap-load of money on something that'll throw more paint than me, knock yourself out. Screw around with timing it, the electronics, the high maintence, etc, etc, etc.
Tippmanns are rugged, reliable markers, that are easy to operate, and can be upgraded to any tournament level you'd like.
It's not all about firepower.
Someone's sig has it right "Only girls play with toys that need batteries."

Tippmann is well known.
It's a reliable gun, anyone can own one. Great customer service, moderatly cheap.
It's not the fastest gun, not the most accurate. It has a simple design.
But it is highly upgradable. If your new to Paintball I would suggest a Tippmann.

I too will proudly aplod Reb Cpl!!! its more what you are comfertable with than rof or accuracy. i know a guy that could pone us all with a pump but he has ben using it for 10 years and is very good with it. all an angle is is a waste of good paint. you dont need more than 15-20 pb/s and a 14 inch barrel and you will pone if your good.everyone buys expensive markers thinking they will improve your game and they might but there no more than a crutch for bad fundementals. just pracktice the fundementals: stalking, trigger controle, breathing, and accuracy. allso know your limits dont fire if your not gunna hit anything all you do is tell everyone where you are. the stalk is the most important skill by far, they cant shoot you if they dont know where you are i personaly will get to within 20 ft without people noticing im there and then fire. im telling you pracktice walking through the woods in full gear quietly if you can do that your set

everybody in hawaii, wher i live, knocks Tipmanns. Why, because they
either screw around with their Blades and brass eagles, or they have
cockers and angels and crap. And truth be told, neither of them have the
position to do it. The poor ones with their cheap plastic crap diss the
Tippmann because they are jealous that they cant have such a gun, and
the ones with cockers and angels knock the Tippmann because theyre thr
rich, snobby losers that whine when they get hit! All in all, the Tippmann
is a solid, american machine. they are the Colts and Brownings and

aescthetics, but nobody, and i mean nobody can build a gun as bold and
as true as america. This is a company that got their start manufacturing

The Tippmann line of markers is undoubtedly THE BEST marker out there in its price range !!
They can be upgraded/modified to become a Feared instrument in either speedball ,or woodsball very easily .
You want Glitter and shine , buy some $600.00 piece of chrome , you want rugged reliability get a tippmann .

Well, I would say that Tippmann is best in it's price range. Other guns in the price range, like a Brass Eagle, Piranah, or Spyder, are nothing compared to a Tippmann. Tippmann makes fully customizable guns as well. But a Tippmann is not the best gun out there. I would say one of the best guns out there is probably an Intimidator, and they are VERY expensive.

People should flame you.
1. Yeah the pros with those high end guns #### right? Yeha, whatever you say. You might one day become GOOD at paintball nad hten you will be saving up your money to get one of these hig end guns.
2.They dont cost that much only cause of the ROF. They have little or no kick, more effcient, lighter, smaller, more accurate, and more things. You need to know what you are talking about. I guarantee you that if you take a Shocker with a correctly tuned LPR, than it will fire faster than an A5, more accurately, have less kick, it will certainly be lighter, it will be much smaller. The only thing an A5 has is efficiency. So, beore you say that people who have hig end guns need the ROF, well, maybe, but they also want the accuracy, size, weight, and everything else that comes with it.
3. Usually, something that is 100 is going to be better than something that is 250 dollars. ALMOST ALWAYS. Let me ask you this. If an A5 was 250 bucks and an angel was hte exact same price, what would you buy? What would most people who play paintball buy?
Let me ask you another wuestion. If an A5 was 100 bucks, and an angel was hte same price, would you buy your awesome A5? Is it worth 1000 bucks because many people thnk that an angel is. So mainly what I am saying is that Angels are worth more than A5s.
4. Dont ask is tippmann the best in a TIPPMANN forum. You couldnt get a more biased answer.

Well, I think tippmann the best for their reliablity, upgradable, and have a lot of different features. Some people don't like it because its too heavy, doesn't shoot fast , and soo on(manily they are just compairing it to a angle or boblong.

Like I said in another topic, if you want speed, an A5's E-grip is plenty fast. People who think a good speedball gun has to shoot at least 30 BPS are crazy. Tipps are more durable, they get better customer service, and aren't flashy bits of chrome that scream "SHOOTMESHOOTMESHOOOOOTMEEEE!!!!!!!"

Bobeo , I would comfortably say an A5 (at $300.00 ) would stand up to any $1000.00 gun, in the right hands , hell for that matter , a 98C would stand up to any gun twice its price , and I think there's lots of PTO (Practiced Tippmann Owners ) here that would be glad to School you in that . wasnt that what the subject of this thread was about ?
Tippmann's markers may not be the Absolute Best out there , but how many other marker owners , would gladly accept the challenge of facing off with some 1K $ marker and reasonably expect to walk away unscathed ,. Only Tippmann Bro , only here . one hit , you're out .

No doubt man they are rgeat, but they just can't compare to a real "speedball gun". Maybe a moded A5 would do really well and even a modded 98 (isnt that what Tippmann Effect uses?) might do well. With just about any marker you can make it faster, more accurate, but you cant really make it any smaller or lighter, which is what alot of people like about those 1k markers.
The only way to say what I am trying to say is, if you were a diehard tourney player, and an Angel A4 was 250 bucks and an A5 was 250 bucks, wjicj would you buy?
