i personally feel the 98 is more upgradeable (such as: unlike the A-5 u can get different hoppers). i have shot my friends A-5 a lot and its REALLY unbalanced. the cyclone is also big and bulky. the only real advantage over the 98c is the cocking pin is closed up so no dirt can get in. but i like 98's more. theyre also smaller

Without an upgrade the a5 is best.

But than again for the same price or less, you could have a 98c with an aftermarket barrel which is better.

Oh and for furture reference dont check the "allow multiple votes" option, it lets the same people vote more than once and ruins the poll.

all right make way ive owned them all and pro carbine i wouldn't give u a bucket of piss for, dont get me wrong its for a person who is very hard on there guns but thats bout it, its very hard to custamize and not all that great, now the 98 sucks stay away/ 98c =better its same as 98 pretty much only 98c much more popular and easier to find parts and upgrades for very good straight from the box and my friend is going on 6000 balls and hasent broke  a single one in his barrel in and he doesnt spend much on his paint at all he buys core which if u used it, it realy sucks. now if u want to get more expensive the a-5 is what ur lookin for its the most easy to custamise strait from the box because with its air supply (commonly found on most cockers) it can accept almost any x chamber and regulater while the 98c pretty much is stuck with almost all gta accesories where the a-5 can go past that, now honestly a-5 easier to custamize and with its cyclone hopper its the fastest in the world dont let ne one tell u else but straight from the box its simi auto so why u need that cyclone feed if ur not buyin a e-grip or rt, well u dont, and not to mention a-5 stock barrel suck much wiener.

when it comes down to it if u plan on doing notin with ur marker go 98c its got decent barrel and gravity hopper but its semi u dont need ne thing better,    though if u may spend money on ur marker in the future go a-5

finaly whatever tippmann u get remember they all work the same when it comes down to it (gas blow back) unless its sl-68 II thats pump obviously, also keep in mind tippman uses different barrel threads on 98c and a-5 (marketing scheme i guess) and a-5 is close to many common barrel theads but dont let it fool u, it just a little bit different

In this case yes higher cost = higher grade. Don't take that fact for granted when you buy parts.
