I got to thinking match grade shooters must get some advantage with their grips , besides ,, it may look really trick on a tippy , dont rate the barrel , I know its short and shiny . The first set of pics is the gun , second two ,is closer up on the grips, for those that want to look a bit closer at the wood . I patterned the grips after a military High-Standard competition set I came across on the internet , the frame silouettes between them , and the tippmann 98's are almost identical .

Oh, I have a fabric sleeve I made for the barrel and tank , camo naturally , but is a woods pattern and is a Very bad (UUgley) combination , so , I figured I'd leave it off for the pics here , He-he

Man those grips look nice. Where did you get that painted?

Posted By: Shadowminion
Date Posted: 30 June 2004 at 11:42pm
I painted it with an airbrush and some model paint , just finished making the grips tonight , I used oak scraps of 4 " moulding my employer threw away into the dumpster ...I dont have the Uber money most of the guys here seem to be able to put into their markers (wish I did ) , so I've hotrodded it up with every low dollar mod I could ,performance-wise , and lost the out of the box look , for a total cost of about,, 20.00 $ american so far , not counting the barrel .

I really like it. Not sure if I would have done a desert camo look, but that's gotta be one of the best camo paintjobs I've ever seen.

All IMO dont get offended

Well first off, nice paintjob 2 bad the colors r crazy ugly , barrel doesn't match what so ever and y would you get a jt..., grips r nice but dont look good with that paintjob. And y did u paint the steel braided line, looks like it got jizz sprayed on it.

NOT offended , but consider this , color choice is DESERT , predominantly Tans , greys , and the like ,Ya ever see National guard guys in tha desert in their desert camo BDU's ?, they stand out like a sore thumb , Second The JT seems to be a decent barrel is a good paint match with the field paint I use , I can Hang with Flatlines , Boomsticks , J&J's , ANY A5's I have seen to date , and most of the other guns on the field (there are a few that still Own me , but thats the Player , not the gun ). I do appreciate your compliment on the grips , that is the first pair of target/Match style grips I have made , Fourth and lastly, The Braided line Does look like a lizard Puked on it ,its only Grey Primered , there isnt much that sticks well to stainless , in a few months it will have fallen off anyway , LOL !! so Sho us your stuff IS , I am willing to learn much from those that have something to share , I wanna see what you can do , C'Mon please man, show us your rig !!

Heh I would but I dont got a digital camera. All I've done is blowback porting in the receiver and vert adapter, milled lettering, milled rear site, polished internals, wooble fix, pen sping, and red/black paintjob. Its nothing special yet.. but I just got a job (first job woop woop!!) and im gonna pimp it out. I already got everything picked out and where im gonna buy it from. All I need is the $$$$$. It all adds up to about $600 tho without e-bolt.

Reviews may be harsh,But all IMO,so dont get offended.I just say what I think of your gun.You posted it for review rite?

Heh , well , Grats on the job , Bet you gonna put a lot of shiny stuff on Yer gun , eh ? More Powa-to-Ya !! I did a search on your posts , you seem to have something against camo , cut them some slack Bro,, Ya, they posted it , but you get a Rep for hostility , and slamming pic's or being rude , peeps not gonna be digging whatever you post , just some food for thought , you do what you feel you need to,,,,

How much did the blowback porting rob from the velocity on your gun ? ,just curious ,,

98cdude , those are custom made grips, and target ones too , more like 80-100 bucks if you could find them ,my advice, find some neat wood , and make friends with somebody thats good with a dremel tool , those grips cost me about 8 Bucks to make , and about twenty bucks in  "beverages", while I worked on them , He-he
