Got my Qloader yesterday, fabricated a mount out of 3/4" gas pipe,
1"X1/8" flat stock and a bolt that I turned down the head and ground
down the threads to fit in the handle. The mount is MIG welded.

I really don't like Q loaders mounted like that. Very ineffective. The pod should be facing you, not away.
Other than that get some HPA up on there.

When you have to pull a pod off the front of your gun away from you instead of pulling it towards you it becomes very clumsy.
If it was facing the other way you would simply have to drop the front of the gun down while still holding the grip and pop the old hopper off and pop on a new one. Loading from the front like that means that you have to tip the gun the oposite way, sticking it up in the air and will most likely have to take your hand off the grip greatly slowing your refilling time.
The pod will still load just as fast, but you can't reload it as fast.

yah, dude qloaders are like the same as halo b's when it comes to price. they feed 30bps so that was a bad on ur part lalalol. and qloaders are awesome cuz of the tiny profile, except i much rather prefer not using the hose and hooking it up directly.
sure 98 customs will never outshoot a qloader, but thats the good part. and even if ur halob feeds 20bps i doubt u can even pull the trigger faster than 16 so... shut up.

hey Txvman, wheres the picture of the fat person with glasses holding the gun?
i think it illustrates a point that the q-loader may lower the profile, but the person using it cant lower his.
therefore, the q-loader is pointless on the m98.

Some people like the Qloader just because it's closer to reality on the milsim scale. As for Tippmannrules's post - the difference between gun profile and personal profile is that you will ussually be behind the bunker - your gun is the biggest part that will ussually be exposed.
Again, I know this is resurrection, but there seems to be a great deal of people asking about the Q lately.

Lower profile
No electronics to waste batteries on
Can feed at any angle
Very quiet
Can put it almost anywhere you want (good for finding perfect balance)
etc...
There are plenty of reasons.

Well, well, well...I see more bashing on the Qloader, apparently most of you knuckleheads dont have it, never seen it used or even tried it out....as fer me, I have it and use it on my 98c w/RT/Flatline and the same goes fer my friends who have it as well, I use to use the 12v Revy w/x-board, but I got tired of gettin hopper hits when I look out from behind whatever type of bunker Im using, wit the Qloader, this eliminates that problem, Ive seen balls whiz over me where the Revy used to be and so what if it holds only 100 rds, most you bone heads believe in that "spray and pray" method and it only takes 1 shot jus get someone and wit the Qloader, I have never experienced any chops or breaks and it works perfectly wit the RT and if you knuckleheads havent noticed as well..."what other ball feeding system can feed a marker when laying flat on either side or even upside down" and I like to see someone try that wit any hopper and especially when batteries are not needed to operate the Qloader.
Now back to the Topic, not bad of an idea on the DIY foregrip mount, but you know you couldve ordered the CMS (custom mounting system) and mount the Qloader to the barrel and if you have the Flatline, it can be mounted to the bottom of the handguard which is part of the shroud, as fer the hose...its fine, people dont realise that the hose can hold extra balls when reloading wit a fresh 100rd qpod and jus as long as the balls are being fed into the breach and dont worry what the others are sayin bout yer setup...its the samething when people are talkin bout other people using the Warp Feed.

Honestly you wasted alot of money.
for 3 reasons:
1. a 98custom will never shoot fast enough to even dent the speed of a q-loader.
2.Q-loaders are just an expensive way to lower your capacity and reloading time.
3. im guessing you play woodsball(from the camo), a q-loader wont really benifit you in any way.

You might wanna rethink yer 3 reasons.....
The qloader is the perfect match when using the RT or the E-bolt compared to other hoppers, which usually results in experiencing chops.
And to saying Waste of Money, paintballing as a whole is a waste of money....how much you spent on 1 or 2 days of play per week, per month?
And I too play woodsball and thats what the Qloader was meant fer, it was never meant to be used in speedball.

Wow, I think we have a genius here.
1. The Qloader isn't just about speed. Milsim players love the magazine ability, as well as the clearance and minimal hopper size. 2. That is such a ridiculously ignorant and immature response. With practice, a qloader can be reloaded almost twice as fast as a conventional hopper. 3. I think someone needs to pay a little more attention. The Qloader was made with woodsball/scenario games in mind. Speedball players are the ones who ussually have problems with its ammo capacity. Woodsball players rarely even use that much ammo.
If you don't like them, don't use them. But don't try and come act like an expert about a product that I'm guessing you've never even used. Am I right?

And just because there were a couple of things left out...
With no batteries woodsball players don't have to worry about moisture getting into the system and frying their electronics. Scenario players don't have to carry around extra batteries just in case their hopper goes out in the middle of day two. Both reasons make the Q-loader a great choice for woodsball in addition to the ones posted above.
In addition, they are quiet. No motors...the balls packed up tight...they are very quiet to move with them...another benefit for woodsballers.
