Hey down here in Florida where dem Gators live we have bushes with huge and really durable palm leafs and the stems are really jagged one way and not the other.And I was wondering if you all think that it's a good idea to get some with a mishede and make something like a towel with really small holes for your hole body which will take like two or three towels.But spray paint the towel light green to match the leaves,and then cut holes in them so they are small enough to hold the palm leaf stems.Which are like impossible to break with your bare hands.And make sure they are all over you as much as possible, then when your ready, go hide in a bush with it and your like invisible.And that is a good idea for a sniper with no ghillie suit.I'm trying it as soon as I be a sniper next time.What do yall think? ------------- TIPPMANN 98 CUSTOM 14" Progressive barrel 32* Black gel grips BT-16 Double trigger Pen Spring Mod X-core Expansion Chamber Vertical Adapter |

Scopes don't work with paintball. But, I consider someone who stays back, sneaks behind you, and shoots you right in the back a snier, especially when you can't find them. In woodsball snipers do exist, but it's a hybrid sniper if you know what I mean. -------------

Come on guerilla tactics??? WTF?!? So you blend in with the local non-playing population? You have non-players on the field with you acting as civillians? I guess that this could work in a scenario game... Hit and run tactics aren't guerilla, they are hit and run, or even harassing. A totally different thing than guerilla. If you are going to try and use a military term, try and look it up so that you can use it correctly. Oh, that does apply to the word sniper as well. |

Hmm, a palm leaf ghille. The problem with adding natural camouflage to a suit, bunker, etc., is that it doesn't always look natural when you're done. For starters, natural camoflage, if it's removed from the plant/ground eventually dies and that dead spot sticks out among the living plants. I know that probably doesn't apply to paintball, but I just wanted to get it out of the way to save someone else the time of pointing it out. Also, certain plants grow in certain ways. If all the bushes of a certain type in a certain area have leaves that grow up at a 60 degree angle, the oddly shaped lump with leaves going in every direction is going to look suspicious. Quite a few years ago I was part of an inspection team evaluating a base defense exercise in South Florida. I watched a young man posted on a observation/listening post with a military working dog build and disguise a hasty scrape for himself. For defense purposes his work was textbook perfect. Unfortunately, his camouflage abilities were not on par with his other skills. Every fern in the area grew upright, so the ones he had placed horizontally to disguise his postion stood out to anyone within visual range of his position. -------------

I play woods ball and I am no sniper, I used to think that scopes sucked in paintball too, until I played against this guy who had a hop up barrel and a scope ( I don’t know what power), so it turns out that scopes only suck if you don’t know how to use them, oh and by the way all you people who think that snipers suck because they hide and crawl around and stuff, just because you do that it doesn’t make you a sniper, this guy never did that stuff, he ran w/ his team and owned us all, and there is not one guy on our team who is anywhere close to being a newb.

That is a common misconception, you don’t have to hide in a concealed location to be a sniper, snipers are just good shots, and I think that those who hide in one spot hoping to get one or two guys out are not helping there team, they need to be up moving w/ there team and using there shooting skills effectively. ------------- Join the XP Re-Revolution!

| Anyone who has played REAL woodsball knows that a true "sniper" is impossible, because there is so much crap outside (trees, bushes, etc.) that a paintball really can't travel more than like 30-40ft. And if you're playin real woodsball, you wont need a ghille suit because normal camo works phenominally in the bushes |

Why did you bump this up? And I don’t mean this in any sort of offensive way but how long have you been playing? Paintball “snipers,” (as they like to call themselves), like the bushes and trees, they work to their advantage as well as everybody else’s. And as for the guile suit, yes regular camo works well but not as well as a guile suit, with the guile suit you are almost invisible, but I think that those kind of tactics don’t help your team so nobody use them. Once again, I am not saying these thing in order to offend you or anyone, my only intention is to be informative and state my opinion. ------------- Join the XP Re-Revolution!

There is no such thing as a sniper in paintball, they dont exist. paintball guns do not shoot near far enough or accurate enough to be used as a sniper weapon. You can, however, be a very good shot and hide nearly invisibly, and make a one shot kill. but you are still not a sniper, sorry. The suit however, would be, pretty sweet. post some pics if you ever make it. -------------
