I am looking into buying a used, but in good condition, high pressure Vigilante Reg. But I need to know if they can run co2 well. I am buying it HP right now cause I don't have the LPK yet, but once I get that I am planning on buying the LP spring. I will be running co2 for a couple months before I get my DYE Throttle, so I need a reg that runs both co2 and nitrogen well. I know the Palmer and Torpedo are good choices, but I mean I might be getting the Vigilante for CHEAP so I wanna go with that. I emailed Air America to try to find out from them but so far they haven't emailed me back so I figured I would open this up to you guys. Thanks

Thats because you dont have any sort of clue.

LP has a greater benefit to co2 then it does to HPA. If you read any sort of technical information you would know that the only thing keeping co2 in your tank in liquid form is the 800+ PSI of pressure applied to it by the small amount of co2 that has boiled off to gas.

When you lower the pressure on co2, the liquid boils off to gas very quickly, so it stands to reason that lowering the pressure of your co2 before it enters your gun is a good thing, because it works the same as a giant expansion chamber.

Now ill move this out to the right forum (Upgrades & Customizing)

Air America regs are made mainly for air.

Good co2 regs are Palmer Stabilizers, and for cheap, stock autococker regs.

I talked to a guy at Air America today, he said it would work fine as long as I replaced the piston o-ring, so I am definetly gonna stick with this.  Thanks for all the help and input
