Ok i have a few questions in one post here, sorry if its in the wrong spot.

1)Whats a expansion chamber and what does it do?

2) If you have an e-grip then you dont really need a response trigger right?  Cuz e-grip  makes it automatic plus more.

3) I know what a double trigger is but how exactly does it help you?  Does it just help you shoot faster by using to fingers instead of one?

4) What is HPA?

5) Im looking for a good neck protector, which one would you reccomend?  Nothing cheap (material wise) but nothing to expensive (money wise).

6) Im also looking good gloves to buy.  I want one with good mobility and comfortable.  I dont want really expensive gloves just ones that get the job done almost as well.

Thanks for the help, you've been dealing with al lot of noob questions from me. I appeciate that.

1) expansion chamber allows liquid CO2 to become gaseous, thus improving the performance of your marker.

2) You are correct. There is no point in owning both for the same marker.

3) Again, you're essentially correct. Double triggers can help you shoot faster.

4) HPA stands for high-pressure air. The air we breathe compressed to 3000, 4500, or 5000 psi. Sometimes referred to as nitro, but nitro is pure nitrogen, which is different than HPA.

5 and 6, I don't know. I just tie an old cloth around my neck and wear dirtbike gloves. Works for me.

In the future, stuff like this should go in the New Player forum.

1)Whats a expansion chamber and what does it do?

An expansion chamber takes the liquid CO2 from your bottle and allows it to expand into a gas without actually getting liquid CO2 in your marker.

2) If you have an e-grip then you dont really need a response trigger right? Cuz e-grip makes it automatic plus more.

Can't give you a good answer because I don't have either but if you have an e-grip, you can't use a resonse trigger because they both occupy the same space in your marker.

3) I know what a double trigger is but how exactly does it help you? Does it just help you shoot faster by using to fingers instead of one?

A double trigger is nice because after a while your trigger finger becomes very tired. If you have an e-grip, a double trigger might allow you to "paddle" or "walk" the trigger. This means launching a whole slew of paint in a short period of time.

4) What is HPA?

HPA stands for High Pressure Air. Basically, this is compressed air.

5) Im looking for a good neck protector, which one would you reccomend? Nothing cheap (material wise) but nothing to expensive (money wise).

I have seen some people use old visors. Most neck protectors are neoprene rubber (wetsuit material). They ususally run under $10.00.

6) Im also looking good gloves to buy. I want one with good mobility and comfortable. I dont want really expensive gloves just ones that get the job done almost as well.

Basically any type of hand covering (gloves) with which you are comfortable with should work just fine. All you have to do is try them out before you buy them.

Thank you.

1)But if you have HPA then what does the Comp Air Low Pressure system do?

2) What does PSI stand for?  Whats better HPA or Nitrogen?  Do you need some kind of adapter to use HPA or Nitrogen?  How do you know whats a good HPA tank or whats a good nitrogen tank.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

1. Read the section under systems on this forum and it gives a very good explanation about the Low Pressure system.

2. PSI = pounds per square inch. HPA and nitrogen are interchangable terms when related to paintball. HPA = High Pressure Air. Air is composed mostly of Nitrogen. You do not need an adapter to run HPA/Nitro, just make sure your tank is a high output tank (800 psi). I believe the best HPA tanks are Crossfire (Steel tanks). I do not have a fibre wrapped tank, they are way to expensive for my budget.

Good luke, have fun and play safe.

An expansion chamber allows the CO2 to expand more helping with efficiency.

If you have an e-grip the responce trigger will be pointless.

Double triggers allow you to walk the trigger. Search for MROD as a username to find a post asking what walking is with answers.

Neck protector? umm what r u a wuss?

Just look on the tippmann site under systems ro find what the LPK does.

You have a p;retty small vocabulary then. Anyway, you wont get hit in the neck very often. Your mask should cover most of your neck anyway.

Wow, small vocabulary then. Your mask should cover your Adam's Apple so you really don't need one unless your afraid to get hit in the back of the neck where it will not hurt nearly as bad as getting hit in the hand so spend your money on gloves.

Actually, I have the standard scott mask that comes with the 98c power pack and it does NOT cover my adams apple or much of my neck at all. Im not sure if that is because of the mask, or the fact that I have an abnormally large head. But in either case, I got shot in the adams apple a little bit ago with a 15bps gun. It hurt a lot. I had a bruise for about a month, and lost some of my voice for a few days after. After that I will be buying something to cover my neck. And as to the vocabularly, he may not be from the same country as you and thus not know that word. Or he just never learned that specific word. Its entirely possible that he has a much larger vocabulary than you.

Ive been hit in the hands a couple of times and in the back of the neck once by my friends spyder fenix and the neck shot hurt way more than any time ive been shot in the hands. But i wouldnt buy a neck protector or paintball gloves, instead id spend that money on something for my gun like a drop.

5ptcontingency is essentially correct on response 4. The term HPA, Compressed Air, and Nitrogen are used interchangeably, because they are essentially the same for the purpose of paintball. Since air is over 70% nitrogen, both nitrogen and compressed air are used in the same HPA tank. A HPA tank is an encompasing term for both nitrogen and compressed air, but nitrogen and compressed air are fundamentally different from one another. But, as I said before, for the purpose of paintballing, they are the same.

As for a good neck protector, I have a JT neck protector. My uncle and cousins use a bandana over their neck protectors for the added protection. We've all been shot in the neck, and it wasn't fun.

For gloves, I really like the DYE 2004 gloves. They have little groves on the inside of the glove for the index and middle fingers. This is so that you can feel your trigger through your gloves, more or less. That was my main concern about getting gloves...not being able to feel the trigger just feels odd to me. But, after getting shot in the hands 5 times in 5 consecutive games, I had enough.
