| I tried searching for similar topics on this forum but I kept getting a timed out error message so my apologies if this has been answered to death already. I installed a lpk, installation went fine, no leaks and I set it up according to instructions; around 310 on the chrono using the 2ndary reg, then to desired speed using the regular adjustment screw. My issue is that although it fires fine, when I chrono, its all over the map - everything from 240 to over 300 with each different shot. I'm wondering if it's my hpa bottle; I have the cheapie pure energy metal hpa bottle and I got thinking maybe it needs a regulator there as well, I know the fibre bottles have built in regs, so do I need to either buy a better hpa bottle or another reg to get the consistancy to where it should be? Any help is sure appreciated, thanks in advance. |

What's your secondary regulator? You excluded that bit of info. If it's a new Palmer Stabilizer, it takes about 2000-3000 shots for the seals to settle.
I haven't heard very many good things about the PMI tanks. Crossfire and Nitro Duck are the 2 more common tanks that everyone seems to like. I like my WGP WorrGas tank. |

| It's a Tippmann pro shop, I know its probably junk but it was the only one in town so until I can order a better one, it's all I have. Actually, it looks identical to the pure energy reg which, according to what I've read here is also a low quality reg. |

What barrel and paint are you using?
BTW, all HPA bottles have regulators. Fiberwrapped or not, they still need to get the inside pressure (3000/4500/5000psi) down to operating pressure (800psi for a Tippmann). ------------- Watch your thoughts they become words Watch your words they become actions Watch your actions they become habits Watch your habits they become character Watch your character it becomes your destin |

That's part of your problem right there, it's a pretty cheap reg. I bet you're also in the break in period, it should become more consistent after shooting it for awhile, but it still won't be the best, shouldn't be horrible though. ------------- "Yes there are two path you can go back, but in the long run, there's still time to change the road you're on"

Thanks, one more thing taken out of the equation. Right now I'm using a flatline, as for paint I use whatever they have at the field, I'll ask next time. Yes, my reg and lpk are new, and from what I've read here, sounds like I should purchase a better reg such as the palmer stabilizer. |

| Palmers are great if you have C02, but there are better regs out there for HPA. I'm not sure what are some of the better ones, however, since I got a Palmer specifically to be used for both C02 and HPA. |

you really should save up to buy a kit if you're using the paint they have at fields. Flatline, while it works ok with lower end brands( as long as its not Blue Streak That should have no effect on your problem(unless I'm a dummy ------------- I need to find smaller pictures for my profile. |
