dont flame me on this becuase i searched.

my question is, is a drop forward worth it?  i know this is almost purely opinion, but is it better to have the dropforward and everything weighted  with your gun, for instance the air system has minimal ends sticking out past the rear of the gun so it is weighted under the gun, with the gun.  also it has a lower horizontal profile.  OR  is it better to have it sticking out the end with no drop forward to act as a stock?

No or very small drop is best in my opinion. That way you can support the gun while running, etc. AND keep yourself from wrist injury!

Forget the drop, Unimounts rule. Your arm doesn't stick out around the tank, and you don't have to crank your wrist. And if you pull your elbow down so it's shaped like a V, and put your tank in that V, your just as small, but your wrist and arm aren't exposed.

^^^^NO! Look at all the people with high end tourny guns, no one uses drops anymore.

Check It Unimounts are the best, you can get em here http://www2.criticalpaintball.com/product_info.php/products_id/203?osCsid=ec87c4f677e513207d70f02a945acb97 - http://www2.criticalpaintball.com/product_info.php/products_ id/203?osCsid=ec87c4f677e513207d70f02a945acb97

you just waste money for no reason. No one uses drops, just put the tank under your elbow and arm. The you can get a tighter position.

I personally think drops are a waste. As do most people except some newbish speedball players who think, o i need to buy something that cost 50 bucks to put my tank out of my way when I could just put it under my arm.

I need to find smaller pictures for my profile.

i had a drop on my 98, and i liked it, but then when i got my cocker i got a uni mount and i like it even more. I personally think the unimount distributes the weight of the gun. Cause my 98 was really front have and now my cocker is just perfect.

I have one on my 98c and its a 7"/2.5" and I love it, the 98 is a pretty long gun anyway so it puts my tank (72/3000 pure energy) under my gun and centers the weight perfect. No it does not hurt my wrist. And if you tuck the tank under your arm (with out the drop) then you have to bend your neck down to use your sights.  And as you can see in some of the replies people always refer to the pros, and they just jump on the bandwagon instead of doing something on their own.

I like a good drop that puts the gun in that perfect spot right before you have to bend your wrist, but you can stay pretty tight. That's how my physcho ballistics bullet DF is...but that's on a minimag.

Well I now have a uni mount because my other cocker got stolen, and the superstock with the built in uni was the only one in stock. I like it, but its all a matter of preferance.

with a drop it is a fact that you cant shoot faster with like a uni mount becaue you don't have all the stress on your wrist. and to shoot fast you need to be relaxed just like in anything. so a very small drop or unimount will do just fine. i have a small drop its like 3"and 2" so it just to where you start ot bend your wrist. but what ever feels right ot you.

i thing a remote is the best way to go you can snipe better from prone and it litens the gun tremendusly with no problems with range of motion. it may un ballance the gun a little but a stock will fix that and the gun will still be lighter with the stock that a tank hanging off the back. trust me after a long day of woods ball it will look like a very VERY good idea.

trust me just a very small drop is the way to go, besides the uni. don't do the hole huge drop crap it is useless unless your gun weighs as much as a bus.
