I've never upgraded my barrel from the stock and I got a problem. First of all My 98c has the new threads and I don't know which barrels will work on it. I'm also trying to decide on which barrel to get. If someone can help please reply.

The newer threaded barrels will fit your 98c, but the older ones won't. I would suggest either a  12-14" Lapco Bigshot. They have pretty  much the same accuracy, but its personal preference. The bigshot has great accurac and an average price of  50 bux.

First of all search for "barrel" on the search page for something like this....then read this http://www.tippmann.com/players/forum/wwf77a/forum_posts.asp?TID=61929&PN=1 - http://www.tippmann.com/players/forum/wwf77a/forum_posts.asp ?TID=61929&PN=1  right above your post.

Pretty much everyone is carrying the newer threaded barrels now; I think you would have to specially ask for old threads to even get them from any places that still have them in stock.  Some cheaper (by price) barrels to look into are Lapco, J&J, CP, and Smart Parts. Higher end stuff- Freak Kit, Evil Pipe Bomb, and Dye barrels. These are just some and in no particular order....be sure to check out http://www.pbreview.com - www.pbreview.com to get some good info and reviews on barrels and everything else!

But don't forget to get a good paint to barrel match for the best accuracy and performance. Check out http://www.ottersccustoms.com/barrels.html - http://www.ottersccustoms.com/barrels.html  at the bottom for barrel bore and paint size charts.  Almost...almost any barrel can be amazing with the right match.

Happy hunting, but I'm thinkin' the Lapco Bigshot, 12" or 14" by preference (pretty much no difference between those sizes) for medium bore paint.

You're welcome, glad to help. The Otter is a good source of general paintball info too, even though it's focused on Spyders *cough* .....heh heh just kidding...
