As some of you might have seen im selling my Impy and probably getting the DM4. I was hoping to keep my Freak barrel but when I went to the SP sight and looked at the freak back I noticed that there was no freak barrel threaded for DYE guns. What I wanted to know is; does DYE have thier own line of barrel threads or do they use another type of threading such as Autococker barrel threads?

dm4's are nice, but not worth 1,400 bucks. I would save the impy and upgrade it, my friend has a was'd impy and its just as fast as the dm4, i know, we have compared them to a kids dm4 at our field. or if u have your heart set on a dye trix, get the 2k3, its the same exact gun as the dm4 execept for the fact that the dm4 has a 2 piece bolt assembly as compared to the 2k3 dye trix which is a 4 piece

No kidding but with all the upgrades on it Im hoping to get $700 to $800 for it. So back to my question does DYE have thier own threads or do they use another type. I know the Ultralight is a good barrel but I love my Freak and I don't want to give it up.

I agree that its over priced but my WASd Impy is driving me nuts. Im sick of dropping upgrades into it and Im sick of all the problems Ive been having with it lately. I don't know what the heck happened it use to be a great and very reliable gun but lately its been a real pain. Also the WAS board is great and everything but that to is a pain and I just want something that more relaible and faster.
EDIT- The only other difference I see is the DM$ doesn't seem to have the LED screen that has all those readouts like the Matrix.

Your best bet is to call Dye and ask them what kind of threads it would use on that kind of barrel (sp). and if they say only Dye barrels accepted get a boomstick or somethin or just keep ur Ultralight.

If he did that there would be another "stage" inside the barrel. What if the ID of the adapter is not a good match for "x" paint brand? Wouldn't it (the ball) fly the gap to the freak insert? Anyone know?

Agreed, and for roughly the same price as the adaptor you can just buy
a different threaded Freak back, which is so much more efficent. That's
another reason I love the Freak, it's so much easier to switch from gun
to gun with compared to a kit that uses different size backs like the
Pipe.

Yea thats why I was just going to get a new back piece. It would be around the same price and the ball wouldn't have to go through a million different stages.

Keep your barrell stock, it matches the gun and is quite fine.
I am sad to see you abondon your Impy. Why not swtich sides and get an Autococker, I have seen so many and everyone was happy with theirs, they were all pros and played on famous teams, not pansy kids.
And good luck getting DM4, unless your one of those spoiled rich brats.

I like my freak and I don't like DYE barrels. I know the Ultralite is good stock but I play in tourneys all over the place and all those places use different brands of paint so a single bore barrel just won't cut it for me. I already owned an Autocrapper and hated it and I WILL NOT ever buy one again. Anyway even an electro Autocrapper doesn't compare to the speed, lightness and good quality of a DM4.

Lol no Im getting the Blue to black dusted fade to match our team colors. The Blue to black was to big to put into my sig so I had to put the colbolt to black dusted fade DM4 in my sig.

Now I think you can see why it was to big for my sig.

ah..ok. I'll probably be keeping the ultralite for awhile until I get a new freak. This is what my DM4 is going to look like. The Blue to black dusted fade with a chrome freak back and a blue AA tip. It will go awsome with our O4 C4 DYE jersey's.

Yea I guess. i don't know yet. Right now it doesn't matter because I don't have enough for for the DM4 and a freak barrel. Its going to be a really long time until I get both.

Ah...well kind of. I still don't know the what price im going to sell my Impy so its kind of an estimate. Thats not an exact number. I should put ABOUT $750 more to go. Yes I still hate cockers and I would definitly take a DM4 over any cocker, electro or mechanical.
