I'm pretty new at paintball and I think it's pretty fun If anyone will help me I have a Spyder Xtra if anybody thinks it's a bad gun your wrong I'm getting an e-grip for it with my birthday money I mean it's not like I have a job I'm only thirteen. But anyway if anyone knows something that will really help my gun besides a e-hopper, please tell me. I hate e-hoppers when your hiding they give you away from the noise . I just hate them for that shew dang I really hate 'em. But anyway I think Paintball is really cool

This will help you move it to the right forum. BTW your kinda silly for thinking E-Hoppers are stupid, because a Gravity Hopper will only feed 3BPS max and high end guns shoot around 18BPS, even your Spyder can do around 10 or 9 BPS. There are hoppers that dont work when you dont need them to, so they won't make noise.

Yeah, you will get used to the electric hopper, it helped me ALOT. The empire reloader is a good choice, you will absolutely need it with ur electric grip frame.

electric hoppers don't make that much noise, unless you get like a bad one that spins all the time.

I was gonna say something but I forgot.

Here's the deal. The upgrades you see at the Tippmann site are Tippmann only.

Spyder is already electric and if you dont want to chop(fire when theres no ball in breech, causing next one to be hit and popped in the breech) you have to get a hopper to keep up with your spyder. I suggest a Viewloader Revolution, for around $50 bucks.

you can find one here

BS you can get at least 7 out of a grav even if it isnt consistent, and you can hit way more than 18 on high end guns

Spyders are decent guns , I guess, my wife has one , and it takes a lot more maintenance to keep it shooting . She has the ISI or whatever its called (E-grip for spyders ) and it can spank my tippy for speed when its running correctly .

Welcome to the forum !! We got a lot of experience with Tippmann's here, but some others guns are (Owned ) here too . The electric hoppers arent that noisy , and I dont know of any that agitate continously .

I would recommend getting a decent barrel for a  "First upgrade " . the stock gravity feed hopper will serve you well for a while , until you get comfy with your gun . Longer barrel doesnt mean quieter ,or more accurate , for a complete , detailed video of barrel lengths , and sizes , visit webdogradio.com and watch their videos , Very informative for a new , and somewhat seasoned player !!

I agree with the others here, Spyders are decent guns.

The thing that gives you most away is visual when you shoot, not sound. The sound gives away the general direction, its movement that really gets a bead on you.

The trick is to shoot a few rounds in one quick burst, then relocate stealthily. A good player doing an ambush always has a plan on where to move next after the initial ambush. If you have not been spotted after your initial shots, your next shots will definitely give you away.

So having an agitated loader really makes no difference if its loud. It only agitates when you shoot as the balls settle down. Even if you silence this, the pop of the air coming out of your barrel even suppressed will still give away your general location.

Use your surounding trees, rocks, topography to mask sound and even throw it in a different direction. Firing from behind a stone wall can throw sound in a different and unexpected directions confusing your targets.

a good sulotion instead of an e-hopper is the e-tron globe hopper. its shaped differently and only $4. it can load about 10 bps. i wouldnt suggest holding the trigger down for more than 4 seconds though
