I never really "got" The Doors. Their music seemed like nonsense to me. Dunno.
It depends a lot on what mood I'm in. My wife really likes country and sometimes I just don't feel like dealing with the twang. Last summer they played at the abandoned highschool just a few km's down the street from my house. I could hear it without even going.
I was pretty sad when I heard the news. Atleast they burned the rolling stones in their break-up announcement. I myself like everything from punk to indie pop and folk.
