well my friend, we can call him eye, happened to come across about 250 M60 links. eye set about 100 up with spent blanks. so eye wants to know if he can use 7.62mm live rounds to make another belt, just for show. eye went to the atf site but couldent find much

if its "just for show" you might not want to use live ammo

check with local law enforcement

I'd suggest going to your local gun shop and asking them. Certain states have different laws than others.

I would not do it.. It's way to easy to have a accident where something hits a primer and the round goes boom.

I would find some one with some reloading equipment and ask them to take out the powder and primers.

just use shells with no powder and no primer,  just a shell and a bullet.
