the only way to make your ball travel faster, or rather the easiest way
i presume would be to turn up your velocity. but turning your
velocity over 300fps is extremely dangerous. even at 300 it is
dangerous. it is stronglysuggested to keep your velocity around
280. if your having problems with your balls breaking make sure
you keep them in a good climate, around 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit.
rotate them every day or so.

| all paintballs will hit with the same force if they are going at the same speed. so besides turning up the velocity, the only thing u can do is shoot something harder than paintballs, which is illegal and dangerous, if they catch u. |

even if you get 2 feet away its shooting the same speed. tihs bugs me the most when people do this. when they see a higher dollar gun they think omg its goin to take my head off it shoots so fast. all guns will shoot the same, and break the same. gettin hit by somethin goin out your gun at 280 will feel the same if another gun using same paint going 280 will feel the exact same. some one should make this into a sticky or somethin or put it in the uber files. ------------- 98c x chamber revi 12vlt w/x bko halo tsa backman shocktech drop soon to get e orracle

Kinda true, about the high end guns at least. Paintballs may leave the barrel at 280 fps, but they don't stay at 280 fps throughout it's flight. If that were true, I'd be able to shoot a paintball around the world if I had a clear path. Shooting someone from 2 feet away WILL hurt much more than shooting them at 200 feet away. Also, getting hit in the same spot repeatedly does hurt very much, so rate of fire does matter when it comes to pain. But back to the question, why in Budha's name would you want it to hit harder? All you would do is discourage people from the sport and hurt it even more than it already has been by irresponsible gun owners. I'm not gonna even call them paintballers. Don't go out hurting yourself or others by shooting hot. -------------

see wat buddylee said that true, i go play abour every weekend at my friend's house, one time my firend walked into this abondoned house that i was in, i shot him 3 times right around his cha cha's the next time i shot my other friend 25 times with the teammate now the guy that got hit by his cha cha's was in more pain then the guy we shot 25 times, sooo its call "area based hitting" ------------- |

| Talk about retarded. The only way to make paintball hit harder is to increase your velocity. If you're attempting to hurt someone, crono your gun under the limit like you're supposed to and just get close and bunker their arse. Putting in modified springs to boost your velocity even higher than it will normally go turned all the way up is simply moronic. You will get booted out of any field for shooting hot. And you certainly aren't going to gain respect because your gun hits hard. This game isn't like football. In football, you gain gain the respect and or fear of your opposition by knocking them on their arse after every play. After a while they might start making mistakes. If you want to have the same effect in paintball, you gain a psychologial advantage, not by increasing your velocity(they'll just think you're a cheater, poor sport, or plain old jerk) you do it by making them pay for their mistakes. Get agressive, bunker them when they're reloading, exploit any weakness of their defences, just outplay them so bad they look like idiots. In paintball it's agreed that you all shoot under a certain velocity(never over 300fps at any field, lower at some) for safety and fairness. You have plenty of other ways to make your opponents fear you without violating that rule. |

Ok, the actual only way to make your paintball hit harder (I'm assuming you mean at longer distances) is to get a flatline. Why? The flatline adds distance by making the projectile lose velocity at a slower rate. The amount of force transferrred by a moving projectile is mass * velocity^2 (squared). The only way to make it harder is to a) pull an ilegal move and trun up the velocity b) get closer so the projectile loses less velocity c) use a heavier paintball (I mean really heavy- like more than 10 times heavier which is impossible for a paintball) d) get a flatline to decrease the loss of velocity. Why would you want to hit harder? I'll take hits point blank and it doesn't phase me none.
