The dudes in the desert part are the best. Just run around all sneaky like and grapple everywhere. Most enjoyable. But my favorite games are: SSBM, AA, Ocarina of time, Goldeneye, perfect Dark, WCIII can be fun, Duckhunt and Mario on NES were the stuff, and that other game on the nes, where you had to collect all this kick ass armor and swords and stuff. |

Yeah, FF7 was really good. I enjoyed the entire FF series. I'm not sure which I liked more though. Final Fantasy 6 (3 in the US), FF7, or FFX. I would love if they redid FF7 with the graphics that they did for FFX, or just made FF7: Advent Children a game instead of a film. Oh well.... Besides those, Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, Doom, and Metroid are probably some of my favourites. -------------

I never said I hated Halo nor have I implied such. I bought it for XBOX and I downloaded it for PC, I enjoy it just as much as anyone else. However, it is overrated because theres a ton of fanboys that just spew garbage all the time "OMG HALO IZ DA BESSTESTST GAME EVEA DOODZ!!!!! IF YUO DONT LIKE IT YUPO SUX STOOPID NEWBIE DIE KTHXBYE" So yeah, you'll have a hard time ever convincing me a FPS is "the greatest game ever" Especially wwhen its fanbase is comprised primarily of tards. Halo: Combat Evolved for the Microsoft Xbox is my favorite game of all
time, therefore making it the game I think is the best ever. I still

I dont hate halo, its decent, but its not nearly as good as earlier bungie games like the marathon series which most of the halo fanboys never even knew existed. The level design in halo is CRAP. Pure and utter crap. Take it from someone who does mapping, that is NOT the way you make a shooter. The maps are so obviously prefab pieces. The indoor levels consist entirely of the same prefab hallways and rooms plopped down together in some nonsense layout. Granted, whoever built the prefabs did a superb job, but whatever mentally damaged 6 year old they hired to actually build the overall map layout just doesnt get it. Lets use an example, the mission where you go through the big thing to get to the uber control room. Go down a lift Go through a circular area, killing bad guys Go down some stairs Go through a circular area, killing bad guys Go down some stairs Go through a circular area, killing bad guys Go down some stairs Go through a circular area, killing bad guys Go across a cool suspension bridge (more circle rooms) Go up a lift (circle room x5 again) go across another suspension bridge (more circle rooms) Its completely uninspired. The game has no scary parts as a single player game should. No creative use of lighting, no mood. Meh. Its mediocre across the board. (refer to the first encounter with a skarrj in original unreal to see how it SHOULD be done) Theres not even any parts in the overall game story with any wow factor. (refer to when you finally find out who polito is in shock2 to see how it should be done) The outdoor maps are very very good, ill give it that. But the absolute repetitiveness of the indoor sections just doesnt do it for me. Im not saying its a bad game, im just saying it lacks way too much stuff to be considered "best game ever". -------------

Still playing.
Half-Life 2 should be fun too as well as many other future shooters, STALKER, FEAR, Swat 4, Quale 4.
And yes the first Skaarj interaction made me madly drop 20 flares and run.
Best Audio- Unreal 2
Best Graphics- Doom 3
Best Overall package- Half Life 2
Best Storyline- Doom
Best Level desighn/theme- Painkiller
Best Mulitplayer- Unreal Tournament 2004
This year is one of the best for PC games. -------------

I'm gonna get everyone mad and go ahead and say Halo is one of my favs.
along with Super Mario 3, the whole Metroid Series, and Doom (haven't
played 3 yet, but i hear awesome things) I'd say HL-2, but that isn't
comming out anyways, so Halo 2. Also, many other classics that are so
awesome i can't think of any

HL-2 is comming out, they just prolonged it like any other company who decides to set an unreasonable relase date, or they just decided to screw up. Halo is a good game, i like it. It entertains me, although i do not have X-box. Halo 2 looks good, i hope it comes for PC. ------------- |

Sammy, half life was a good game because it had good level design and
overall polish. Halo sets new records in how NOT to design levels. The
entire game rests its dificulty on shooting swarms of tiny things with
little thumbsticks on the suckbox, so when you play it on a real
machine with a real input device like a mouse, its an excercise in
point and click. Halo sucks very very much compared to other games that the stupid fanboys have never even heard of. -------------

I don't know how I could forget that. The graphics are just amazing. And the levels, you can tackle a mission in almost any way you want as long as you get they key components to pass like blowing up crap. I've been able to avoid getting attacked by a bunch of enemies by just going around and taking the objective from behind. The AI is really smart, and the environment can also be interacted with to a certain degree (shooting chains to cut down a bridge, craters forming in the sand from rocket impacts etc...) -------------

I've been playing Steel Battalion lately. Not a great game, but it's definetly fun. I'm stuck on level 3 and I keep losing pilots. (If your mech goes down and you don't eject in time the pilot dies and the save data is erased.)
The game I had the most fun with was probably FF3 because I got to play it two player with a friend, and we played every day after school before work. But I did love FF7, it had a much higher level of involvement in the system. I hated Kefka about as much as I did Sephiroth. Although I can't seem to let Aeris' death go. -------------

Its scary that most people are so wowed by graphics. I think "better" graphics really really ruined gameplay.

or lisa. They have it at a local hockey rink. That machine

I disagree with this, for the most part. People think of and develope games every day, whether it be flash or a multi million company. But along with chagne comes better grahpics processing so they impliment it. Its like, butter with bread. One without the other has a more likely chance to "taste bad". ------------- |
