Here's the updated version of "The Bruise". My long pb/dop drop went the way of the buffalo and I got a Check-It unimount. Just for the record, it was not because everyone told me to. It was because it really does feel more ergonomic. Anyway, I have tuned and broken in the gun and it shoots great. If anyone has any questions on it's performance please feel free to ask. Tom Kaye should win a nobel prize for making me this happy. Enough talk, there will be time for that later... here's a link to the pictures:

Yea, I fixed the original link. There are also sketches of Claire from AGD Factory at IAO 2003 on there as well. I just turned her into a guy since I can't draw hair for beans.

*whimper* so nice. The trigger is light and very smooth with the ULT kit. The lvl 10 works like a charm too, I haven't broken a single round in the breech. I did in the Qloader before I got that tuned up though. Nyway, I'm very happy with it and I'm glad I didn't get an Impulse like my peers were pressuring me to do. I was almost able to walk the darn thing!!!
And yeah, the Logic frame is great. I have the v1.0 though. The v1.1 is about 0.1oz lighter lol. Ryan really didn't make much of a change there heh heh.

I bet. Best mech gun I've ever shot. I don't even think I'm going to go for the HAIR trigger when it comes out. I think I'll stick with the ULT for now. It's enough for me. I would like to get a new tank though. I'm thinking Nitro Duck 68/4.5k X-Stream. This thing guzzles gas like nuts. But I get free fills at my local field so eh.

BTW Evil did the guys on AO ever contact you about making triggers for their new frames?

I'd really like to know what people have against the Qloader. Everytime someone posts a pic of their gun with a Q people say "eeew that's fugly!" or the ignorant remark, "ditch the Q and get a HALO!".
First off, it's not that ugly. It's a lot cleaner and sleeker looking than a warpfeed and much less bulky too.
Second, it's job isn't to look pretty. We should all understand that here, this is a Tippmann forum. Let's see, here are the pros and cons of the Qloader:

Pros:
Feeds fast (30+bps)
Force feeds consistantly at any angle
Light weight
Reduces profile to almost nill, no hopper shots
Doesn't feed past detents like a HALO B
Reloads faster than conventional hoppers with pods
Doesn't use batteries so it never dies on you
Lifetime warranty, free repairs and parts
Best customer service I've ever experienced

Cons:
Looks different so it's not fashionable
Only holds 100 rounds (just fine for a good frontman)

So yeah, would you rather play well and have a kickass time or worry about how your setup looks and if it's in style? If you choose the latter, then go to pbnation cuz this aint the forum for hype...

Huh, ok.
Headhunter: Mags are pretty affordable now. You can get a pretty nice set up ULE mag for under $500 from whitewolfairsmithing.com

I got this setup with the Logic parts, so it quite a bit more. Bout $620. But if you get one with a normal rail and an intelliframe or y-frame, you can pick one up cheap.

Thanks all. I'm thinking next:

Used Barrel Kit - J&J Edge or WGP Kaner = $90-110
Used Nitro Duck 68/4.5k X-Stream Tank = $200
Stock Retro .750 on/off (for sweetspotting) = $35
Kila V2 Magnetic Detent = $25

Which shall I get first, the barrel kit or the tank? Hhmmm... I'd like to up my accuracy a little (the stock J&J ULE 2-Peice is decent but could be better), but this thing does guzzle gas. Well to get the barrel kit I'd sell both my barrels I have now (spyder threaded aradus and cocker threaded J&J 2-Peice) and to get the tank I'd sell my current nitro duck tank. I guess whichever sells first!

Thanks everyone. I gotta tell ya, when I was planning on buying this thing I got all kinds of comments from peers such as, "mags suck", "mags are slow", "mags will never be able to compete with other markers". Wow, what a bunch of losers. This gun not only can compete, it blows everything else away...

If any of you are thinking of getting a mag, think no more. Just do it. Best mech on the planet and soon to be best all around gun on the planet when the HAIR comes out.

First, the balls are loaded into each Qpod by way of the loading silo. The silo is a 500rd container with a hose coming out of one end with a crank on the end of the hose. The Qpods are inserted into the crank and the crank is wound, both torsing/winding the spring inside the pods and loading balls into them.

Second, the Qpod is engaged into the adapter on the gun. The adapter engages the spring and causes it to untorse. This both spins a column in the pod and winds a wheel at the end of the pod. The turning column sends balls to the end of the pod with the wheel on it. The wheel pushes the ball into the hose.

With this system you can feed at any angle, even upside-down. The spring tension causes the column and wheel to keep putting pressure on the paint meaning a constant stream of paint is being pushed through the hose into the breech of the gun. However, the spring won't unwiond any unless the ball can move forward. This prevents feeding past your detent(s). It's a great loader, and yes it does defy gravity! All force feeders do including the HALO B, AGD WarpFeed and Empire Reloader B.

First, I'm glad you ditched the drop. And for the record, we were telling you to do so not b/c it is fashionable, but b/c we all know that a unimount setup is more ergonomic.

Second, if a Q-loader feeds faster than a halo, than it is b/c it is applying more force to the ball stack, meaning that it is MORE likely to double feed on guns w/ weak detents under normal playing circustances. Then again, the only way a halo double feeds is w/ worn rubber detents and small paint... obviously not an issue for the mag.

And last, I just traded for an X-mag w/ a ULT pin installed and a Logic blade trigger. I'm looking forward to electro/mechanical bliss in that thing. I should have it in a few days as it shipped today. Definitely growing to like the looks of a mag.

and no drops on any guns. Period.

Actually, the Qloader is less likely to feed past detents than a HALO B. It almost never does. The HALO B does have this problem on some markers. The Qloader is able to prevent this since the spring only unwinds when a ball is able to move forward. If there is no room for a ball to move forward (meaning there is another ball or a detent infront of it), then the spring will not be able to unwind until the ball can move forward. The HALO B's motor does not have this regulation since it is controlled by a board instead of mechanically.

Also just to let you know, using a ULT on an X-Mag or E-Mag in E-Mode is not reccomended. It will reduce your rof since it doesn't reset the sear as fast as the solenoid engages the sear. It messes up the gun's firing sequence basically. Good luck with it though. Oh, I now see that you said it just has the pin. I don't exactly know how that might effect it. As long as the on/off assembly is able to recharge fast enough it should be fine.

And yes, the uni is more comfortable. I used the word fashionable because a lot of people think the uni is just all around the greatest thing for everyone. It's not. Not everyone is going to like how it feels. It's not more ergonomic for everyone. Some people like drops better. The same way some people like 45* frames more than 90* vert frames. It's not a replacement for drops, it's an alternative.
