^^haha

uhh, it takes a TON of effort to make a field dude. You need safety netting first off, which is...very expensive... The bunkers and such can be plywood, but it needs to be treated for harsh weather.

good luck...

if your planning on making the field public, dont forget to add the cost of insurence, in case anyone gets hurt. theres always a way to get around a waver in lawsuits.

Use haybales... they are cheaper and can be in the rain and other weather.  Haybales, land and safty net is all you need.

So why do we have so little fields?

Because you need like Bunkerking said, insurance, pay tax's have a certificate, and other legal mumbo jumbo.

As long as you keep it private it should be simple enough.

Well this sounds good at the moment how it is...when I here the word milsim, I think of mortors...tanks ect.  Just the basic stuff is really needed for fun, just bunkers ect, and even try to set up some objectives, and buildings that go along with the objectives.

a cheap alternative to safety netting is big sheets of burlap, they work just as well if not better.

For trenches:

Rent a backhow for a day or two. Those things absoluely OWN when it comes to digging trenches. They do a perfect job. I own one. They trock. Don't waste the time and human energy diggin them yourself. Rent a backhow.

You could also go and look for some old tires at a dump or some redneck's house or something. Tires make good bunkers.

Netting will cost a lot. Just get barrels, planks, steaks and boards. Hammer the steaks into the ground and nail the boards onto them. Put metal rebar in the ground and put the planks on those. Could get trees and dirt mounds too. Well thats me and my friends do.

The most important thing may be zoning rights.....you could have all of the materials known to the paintball community but as long as the zoning committee says it's a no-go, then you're out of luck.....

also if you plan to make this public and quote "get kids more active and off the streets" I'd reccomend rental guns, and a trained staff to(fill tanks, fix guns, etc.) Kids off the streets aren't always gonna come to your field fully equipped.
