Hey!

Wow, it's been quite a while since I've stopped in here!

But anyway...a few of you may remember that before school let out, I was considering leaving home to live with my grandfather and complete my senior year at a different school.

Well...I left!!!

But not under the terms that I had originally planned on.

I ended walking out of my house one night after work to blow off some steam at a buddy's house for the night, but as I was walking out the door, my dad stopped me and said that if I left that I could never come back....so....I thought about it, and left!

I stayed with my buddy for the last two weeks of school then I moved out to my grandfather's house right after school got out.(almost literally, I was on the road not even 45 minutes after school got out)

But anyway...so me and my parents weren't exactly the best of friends after I left and so we started to go to therapy[seperately] to try and get things worked out.

Well...me, my grandpa, and my parents finally met up wednesday to try to get things worked out because in order for me to be able to go to school out here I either need my parents to sign the enrollment papers or give my grandfather legal guardianship so he can enroll me.

And school's my #1 priority right now....especially seeing that it starts in 2 weeks.

But my parents were they're stubborn selves as usual when we met up and ended up walking out of the session after saying that I was worthless loser who was never going to amount to anything and that they didn't want anything to do with me anymore.

So now my grandpa is having his lawyer draw up the guardianship papers so he can enroll me in school and so he can add me to his insurance.

But that's not all that's happened to me over the course of this summer.

I also obtained my license illegally by forging a note from my dad saying that my grandfather had permission to sign for me.

But my grandpa was ok with it because I need to be able to drive myself to and from school, work, and where ever else I need to be.

[I'm 17 BTW for those of you who don't already know.]

I also got my first car which is a 1990 Buick Reatta.

It's pretty nice(for those of you who actually know what one looks like), except it's nickle and dimin' me pretty good.

I've got an awesome girl, Nicole, whom I love to death!

*edit*~^^^Wait...I take that back, I messed that up today.

And my total debt that I've accumulated over the course of the summer is about $4,000+, which includes my car, insurance, registration, plates, some gas, repairs, and a bunch of other little stuff.

And it doesn't help much that I can't find a job.

I'm livin' in a really nice house though!(Patrick knows)

I had an awesome time over the fourth out on Lake Fenton!!!

Got  the  up that weekend!!!

Plus I got  by 3 different girls!!!

I wasn't complain'!

But....I think that about does it for now.

So lets see here, I:

Left home, commited a misdemeanor, got  up, got a car, racked up a lot of debt, lost my parents, and am now pressed for time with enrolling in school for my senior year.

Yup...I'd say that this has been the worst summer I've had in a long time!

Hey!

If all goes well, I should be attending Byron for my senior year.

But if not, I'm looking at a charter school in fenton as well as fowlerville schools.

Baker's another possibility as well as just waitin' a year 'til I'm 18 then just enrolling myself in Byron.

The main thing right now is that my parents need to sign the papers to make my grandfather my legal guardian.

Otherwise there's nothin' else to do other than either wait or take them to court which would still take a while.

Same, can anyone enlighten us?

Most importantly though, do what ever you can to get into school. I would say right now the most important thing is getting you into SOME school, do what ever it takes.

I am sorry that you are in such a bad situation, but remember it can only get better, right?

Try hard these next couple months to get a job too. I got my job in the fall because all of the other people were leaving for college.

Hey!

The Guy~What was your gf's name? I may know/heard of her.

Bauerpower~It's a long story but to sum it all up, they kept me locked up all the time and essentially treated me like crap. But that's the super simplified version of the story, there's A LOT more to it!

SWAT~I just found out today that my mom is NOT going to sign the guradianship papers which means that I will NOT be going to school this year. I'm going to have to wait 'til next year when I can enroll myself. I never thought it'd actually come to this.

And to top it all off, my GF's parents just gave me the "clap" today, lol!

God...who wouldn't want my life!?

*Note the sarcasm in the above comment*

Dude, that's so immature. Me and my dad just toss on the 8-ounce gloves we use for MMA competitions and toss in mouth guards and go at it to settle our problem (the next morning, your decision-making is impaired, eye should be blood shot and swollen, and lips pretty messed up...so we're usually more willing to talk).

Speaking of girls and relationships...I need a new girlfriend, mine is being weird again.

Ok captain redneck, whatever works. Personally I think his approach is way, way more mature than trying to slug your dad. Especially for his age, he has coped incredibly well.

Hey!

I found out some good news today!

I called the circuit court today and found out that I don't need my parents to sign anything, I just need to petition the court and the judge will decide whether or not to give my grandfather legal guardianship.

So I have an appointment with the lawyer friday and he says that everything could be done by the end of next week.
