if you guys would rather spend $1000 on upgrading your tippmanns, thats fine with me, but just know, spending $1000 on tippmann would be a waste of money compared to buyin a timmy, because even with $1000 worth of upgrades on a tippmann, it will not perform even 1/4 of a timmy.
u got too much pride in your tippys, get over it. they maybe the best, reliable low end guns, but compared to high end guns they're nothing.

I disagree. I like my tippy. I like spending money on it. I would rather put $1000 in a tippy (I have actually) than buy a timmy, or and impy, or cocker or dm4. I feel like I have something to prove by having a Tippmann that owns. I'm happy with my 98. I don't want a nice shiny gun. Deal with it.

Even a little bit more specific a gun that can be more **edited** than that guy on Fear Factor (theres one on EVERY show) or As cool as Enos or slugs or mullets or afro's or sponges or tires or tennis balls or N*SYNC Frisbees or Backstreet Boys frisbees they make the coolest frisbees but so expensive they are small and round and flat and have a hole in the middle but if you throw it just right it make a big glare for about a second.

You sound like your saying something really important and I'm sure you mean well, but I have absolutely no idea what you just said. Fear Factor, Enos, Backstreet Boys and frisbees? Turn off the computer. Go to bed. It's late. You need your sleep.
If I won the lottery tomorrow, I would have the biggest, best, fastest and most expensive timmy I could find by the end of the week and still get owned by some 14 year old kid with a red dye jersey and daddy's credit card. Oh well.
If I was good enough, I could get on a good team, win some tourneys, get sponsored, and have a big company buy me one in exchange for pushing their products on 14 year old kids with red dye jerseys and daddy's credit card.
Since I am the daddy with the credit card, not I, nor anyone in my house will ever own a timmy! When the kids are 18, they can buy lottery tickets, same as I.

Wrong, wrong and wrong.
With the proper mods a Tippy will perform at least half as good as a Timmy. Secondly, how can you have TOO much pride in something you own and like. Lastly, Todd Martinez playing with a Tippy will smoke any "average" to "good" player with a Timmy.
I like Timmies, I prefer Matrix', and I do not consider them to be over priced.

Half the people that replied are so nub.
I have never shot a timmy, I will never bash a timmy for that reason.
With that said, I think I know more about them then you guys do.
Milling is not just for looks. The more metal you get off of that gun, the lighter it will be.
I too have a job, and I will say that timmies are not overpriced. I could buy 4 right now, but there are more important things in life that I am saving for. The quality and precision that goes into making a timmy compared to a tippmann is unbelieveable. But not many people here are metal workers, so you wouldn't understand...

A friend of mine play for a team in Alaska which is sponsered by Bob Long, when he was here and played in one of the local big games I got a chance to shoot his Timmy, its an amazing gun, I don't think its overpriced and if I liked speedball I would have one. However I prefer mil sim/scenario/woodsball (whatever you want to call it) and my A-5 is perfect for that. I would not want a highend flash colorful gun with me in the woods, I'ds prefer a rugged/durable gun for that, hence my Tippmann

mr.bob doesnt sponser teams. quote from bob long-"im not going to give away free guns just so people can see them" the naughty dogs had to buy their own timmys along with other teams that use timmys. except for the ironmen i believe cause he plays on that team....i still think his team had to buy their own timmys...
