How long has he had it? It should pass the first few times as long as its not too banged up. Tell him to get it tested first before he sells it to you. Most Carbon fiber tanks have to be destroyed after 15 years.

It usually says somewhere on the label, but my tank is made by Carleton. And you must mean 3000psi. No such thing as a 300 psi tank.

My Nitro Duck has to be tested every 3 years, but some are 3 and some are 5.

99% of all paintball tanks pass hydrotesting. So there's a good chance it'll pass already.

What you want to look for is any apperance of exposed fiber. Small nicks are ok, as long as they don't expose the fibers.

The date on my old Luxfer tank, says "4 (with a little triangle thing here) 00". Which translates to April of 2000. This is the date of manufacture. Then you add 3 years (most tanks, some are 5 year) to the date of manufacture. Which means my tank would need to be rehydroed by April of 2003.
